I have been a patient for 2 years now and I love Dr. Ruster and his staff. When I made my first appointment, I hadn't been to the dentist in 5 years! Needless to say, there was a lot of work to be done. What I love about this staff is: at each visit I receive excellent service and recommendations on what my next step is, so I never need to feel overwhelmed. Dr. Ruster was wonderful at filling my cavities and he fixed a chip I had in my front tooth. He is skilled at causing minimal to no pain when he is working. Even getting shots of Novocaine were practically painless. Due to the amount of work I needed done, I scheduled a few visits. I was always able to schedule a convenient time, and I have never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen. (I am usually taken in right at my appointment time.) I am particular about how my teeth feel, and his staff was extremely understanding and accommodating when I asked to schedule follow-up visits. I was referred to a different doctor for adult orthodontic treatment, and that has been one of the best decisions I have made for my health. Lynette has done my cleanings, and she always makes me feel at home by asking questions and getting to know me. Carrie has been a wonderful assistant to Dr. Ruster throughout my visits. The office is clean and has large windows with lots of natural light, which helps me feel relaxed during visits. Overall, Dr. Ruster and his staff provide excellent service in office, and they empower me to take charge of my oral health between visits. Five stars!

I have been coming to Dr. Ruster's office for a few years now and I can honestly say they this has been my favorite dentist's office. Dr. Ruster, Lorrie, and the rest the staff are amazing, and I have never had a bad experience. My regular cleaning experience is always pleasant, they gave me good information when I decided to have my wisdom teeth pulled as an adult, and they were even able to help me with my tooth sensitivity when I first starting coming to this office when my previous dentists had not offered similar desensitizing techniques. I highly recommend Dr. Ruster's office to anyone looking for a dentist!
Updated for 2019: I'm still coming to the office and loving it! They are always prompt, professional, friendly, and they take the time to answer all my questions about my teeth. You could not find a better Dentist / office.

Dr. Ruster is the best! The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Anytime I've had work done on my teeth they explain and show me everything they are doing. I've moved out of the East Lansing area but I haven't switched dentists yet because Dr. Ruster is so great!

Dr. Ruster is the best dentist I have ever worked with. My family dental "issues" have included dental/needle phobia and genetically missing teeth (lots of them) requiring crowns, bridge work, etc. Dr. Ruster has worked very closely with both our orthodontist and periodontist for years. Both have the highest respect for his skill and concern for my family. Plus, he's just a darn nice guy!
