I have dealt with dental fear since I was a child and have often avoided dental work, as well as switched dentist offices often, due to the way they did not truly make an effort to understand patient care for individuals with dental anxiety. Dr. Gruenes is kind and compassionate, and is honest about her recommendations for your individual dental needs. She does not recommend something simply because it would be beneficial to her office. Her office is welcoming and every person there makes you feel like they are happy to have you there with no guilt or shame. They don't just proclaim to understand the needs of those with dental anxiety, they actually treat you with great care and attention the entire time you are there. I will never be someone that loves having dental work done but I no longer feel the urge to cancel appointments and run away. I highly recommend Dr Gruenes and her staff to anyone who struggles with dental anxiety or even just wants the best, honest care.

My unexpected dental appointment was amazing to say the least. I was treated with respect and kindness the minute I walked in. When my crown came off I had to get it replaced but my original dentist was an hr drive away plus I was with family at the time. Dr. Stephanie was so great to get this taken care of. Pain relief with BOTOX!!! I have a very stubborn case of TMJ pain. Imaging shows it is muscle related not joint related. I have tried everything like massage therapy, physical therapy, acupuncture, atlas chiropractic, orthodontic braces, night guard, heat therapy, muscle relaxers, and Botox. I have found Botox to be the most effective; About 12 units of Botox in each masseter muscle provides me with TMJ pain relief for months. I have seen 3 dentists in the area for Botox injections and Dr. Gruenes is hands down the best, and the most thorough. Perfect placement, and pain relief with every visit. Maybe next time I will have her add a few units between my eyebrows. 😉

I am 64 years old and have seen many dentists. Dr Grueness is the most thorough and careful Dentist I have ever had. A few years ago I had a chipped tooth on a molar that was a problem. She examined the tooth over several visits for further degradation before recommending action. It was collecting a lot of food and was difficult to keep clean. The time had finally come.
When she did the crown I was amazed at her skill with the novacaine. I didn't think it was possible to get pumped up with novacaine without at least SOME pain. But I didn't feel ANY pain whatsoever. She took it VERY slow, probably 3 times longer than any other dentist I have been to. I was amazed.
If you absolutely dread going to the dentist, you will never find a better dentist than Dr Grueness. She is great!

I've never been to a dentist office where all of the staff is so kind and courteous. I brought my elderly Aunt in for an appointment who is very hard of hearing and doesn't get around well. All of the staff were so helpful and compassionate I was in awe. Absolutely amazing.
