I just had my first appointment after getting a recommendation from someone, who like me , has a phobia about going to the dentist. I have found a new dentist. Everyone was nice and helpful and showed a true concern for me. No one gave me a hard time about how long it's been since I'd seen a dentist, they took time to explain things to me and before we even started the Dr. took time to ask questions and put me at ease. If you are looking for a dentist I highly recommend this practice.

Great service! Very satisfied! I would like to thank all of them for the wonderful service they provided from the front staff who provided me the options and gave me the breakdown of costs to the dentists and assistants that helped fix my tooth problem I had. I came in with tooth pain after ten years of not visiting the dentist. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to book an appointment the same day!
The staff was very friendly and professional, Dr. Forbes was really understanding and didn't dental-shame me for the ten years I hadn't been seen by a dentist. My cleaning was thorough and done with a minimum amount of discomfort, and I was able to book my wisdom tooth surgery.
They ran my insurance while I was in the chair and made sure I understood what my insurance would cover for my exam and my upcoming surgery. I will for sure be returning here for my future dental needs, and I'll be referring others here as well.

I had a very bad toothache and needed to get in ASAP. The people ay CHD were great! Got me in right away and took excellent care of me and my pain! Staff are caring and understanding. They even got my wife in for an exam an hour after me. Very, very pleased with them!

AWFUL! Worst dentist I've been to. Made me wait over an hour and a half past my appointment time. Staff and the dentist I saw were all rude. The cleaning was sub-par and the dentist couldn't even answer a simple question about how to use a mouthwash I had been recommended by my previous dentist. The filling I got fell out a week later and I went somewhere else to fix it because I couldn't bear to go back here. STAY FAR AWAY!!!

I took my wife there for a basic examination and somehow they racked up $700 for doing nothing but taking pictures and then tried to sell my wife a tooth cleaning procedure for over $2,000 dollars. We said no thank you and promptly left. Then a few weeks later our insurance company sends us a statement showing more than $700 in charges from Columbia Heights Dentistry. Use extreme caution at this dental practice and insist they tell you exactly what you are being charged for. Or better yet, just don't go to this dental practice at all.
