Love love love Shepard family dentistry! I have been going to them for about 17yrs and they have seen my son as a young boy and now my granddaughter for her first appt! The staff is amazing and they are so modern in technology! I live in MO but I think I will be scheduling my appts during visits back up there!

I attempted to schedule a dentist appointment for my daughter and was told there was a wait list for the type of insurance I had. Mind you, my services would have been covered through their office via insurance. When I said that I should file a discrimination suit against them due denial based on my type of insurance, Dr. Clayton Shepard was excited to present the “correct spelling of his name for the suit”. I just want to warn others that after hours of thinking you might have found a great Dentist, you haven’t. It’s really sad that service can be based on the type of insurance you have. The even sadder part is, that if you didn’t have insurance, they would have taken your appointment right away.

My experience as a child with dentists was not a positive one. Therefore, I was afraid of going to dentists into adulthood and then postponed even checkups. When I met my husband, he had been seeing Doctor Shepard for years. He encouraged me to try Shepard Dentistry. Dr Shepard and staff are very kind and patient. They take their time and make their patients comfortable. I am no longer afraid of my dentist and highly recommend Dr. Shepard!

**Final Update** The final response by this dentist is very petty and intentionally deceiving. The complaint filed against him was not in regards to any details in my initial review. My opinion still stands and I will not alter it, regardless of any threats received.

Dr. Clayton Shepard has sent a threatening letter implying he will sue me if I do not delete or change my review. This nearly 2 years after my visit and even after I'd emailed them before posting a public review. If this does not give you a idea of the type of person running this "office", I don't know what will.

Honestly, the people here were cruel and unwilling to show any compassion to my situation. It was made very evident that they were all about the money. They even refused to send my x-rays to another dentist whom I visited after they were unable to get me in during a dental emergency. Save yourself from disappointment and head a few blocks up to Jones Family Dentistry. You won't regret it!
