I had the services of teeth extraction,implants, and denture work.
Dr.Mathew Carbon was my oral surgeon and did an excellent job.
What I liked about him was his explanation of what he was doing and what to expect next. Very calm and thorough. Very detailed also as he saw a shadow in the bone by one of the implants and a more detailed x-ray done to get a closer look. Best experience I've had with a medical person and I'm 60 plus years old. Ask for Dr. Carbon!
PS most of the rest of the staff was great too!

I called about a billing question and talked to Jessie at the front desk. I inquired on a payment issued by my medical insurance to see if the office received it. She confirmed the office did. I asked additional billing questions and it was at this time, she became frustrated with me. She put me on hold as I was still talking, then got back on the phone and seemed upset that I asked additional questions for clarification. Her tone and attitude escalated and at this point, she wanted me to get off the phone. She kept telling me she will have to look into it further and call me back. I replied with, “sure, while you research when you get the EOB, can you take note of my next question so you can look into this too?” She was so irritated by me and my questions and by now, I found her to be of no help. I asked to speak with her manager. Her response was, “yeah you can. Bye”.
I hope she find peace within herself and refrain from treating current and future patients this way.

Dr. Karban and his staff provided the best tooth extraction care today! Our dental office referred us to this office for a bad wisdom tooth. Dr. Karban and his staff, Karen, answered all of our questions and took the time to make sure we understood all about the procedure. Becky, his insurance specialist staff, took the time to explain what the Delta dental insurance covered and how much was due before anything was done. We are very satisfied with our visit today and would recommend Dr. Karban and his staff.

Really great experience! Everything was clearly explained before, during and after the implant process. Pain was extremely minimal (far less than I thought it would be!) and I felt well cared for throughout. Thank you!

I had a root canal done this morning by Dr. Phil McKenzie. Unfortunately, I’ve had several root canals to compare my experience of today to. With that said, today was my best experience, hands down. Every step of the procedure was explained to me from tools used, sensations to be felt, noises to be heard and level of discomfort to be experienced. The ease and knowledge in the way he performed the procedure was extremely comforting. The counting down before injecting the numbing medication eased the anxiety and surprise of that first stick. Also noted was the interaction between Dr. McKenzie and his assistant. He was kind, professional and said please and thank you to her with every exchange. So heartwarming to experience this kind of respect between coworkers! Follow-up care was given by both, Dr. McKenzie and his assistant, Dana, with instructions to call with any questions and or concerns. I left feeling very confident in what was done and will definitely return if if I need further treatments. He deserves ten stars in my opinion!!

I have now had two procedures to remove wisdom teeth at The Dental Specialists in Coon Rapids. I chose to remain awake for both so I knew what was going on and Dr. Karban and his staff are just truly exceptional at what they do. The communication before, during and after the procedures was great and the extensive experience and skill Dr. Karban has is evident.

Getting wisdom teeth out can be stressful and you want to feel in good hands. This office really makes it the best possible experience. Thanks guys!

1) clinic don't keep to appointment time.
2) reception is poor. The receptionist left us standing there waiting though there was no cue. Not friendly people. I will not recommend this place

I had very high anxiety going in to get a wisdom tooth pulled. I can’t express enough how amazing the staff was, so claiming and understanding. The actually extraction took minutes! I was in and out and felt great ! Highly recommend.

First off, the experience with my treatment was great. I had no problems with my treatment or experience with Dr. McCarthy.

However, on my final visit to The Dental Specialists, I was told by the receptionist that I would be receiving an $800 refund via check due to a potential surplus of paid funds and what was covered by my dental insurance. Being that this was over a year after my treatment had completed, I was confused as to why I just now is being told about a surplus of funds. I was even provided with a paper copy of a ledger that stated that I was owed money.

Since that day, I had communicated with The Dental Specialists twice each time that I had communicated with them they had stated that they were still working with my dental insurance company. They were just having trouble communicating with them.

I got frustrated and tired of attempting to get answers from The Dental Specialists, so I went directly to the insurance company who reached out to The Dental Specialists over the course of a week and finally got a hold of them today. After my insurance company had got a hold of The Dental Specialists I received a return call from them stating that I was not due any money.

The first problem is telling your client a year after the treatment that they have money due to them and follow that up with paper documentation stating if that’s the case.

The second problem is dodging questions and blaming it on my insurance company when according to my insurance company it had nothing to do with them.

I am frustrated with The Dental Specialists, and would not recommend any of my friends or family to go use their services for orthodontics. I would be filing a Better Business Bureau complaint, however I have miss placed the paper documentation stating that I am due a credit and would not have a tight enough case to do so. As an alternative, I will work to spread my story in hopes that others do not have to experience the same frustration.

They tried to tell me I couldn’t have my wisdom teeth taken out tell September, when I can’t even eat and barley speak right now when I let the front desk attendant know this she just laughed and said well “sucks to suck” couldn’t believe my ears we’ll never go hear and would highly recommend you don’t go here. 1st place I went to after this was super concerned and squeezed me in the same day!!
