I’ve worked with all three dentists and they are fantastic. Knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely care about their patients.
The staff is also fantastic. They’ll even text and call if you need flexibility in your schedule. They communicate well and are a joy to work with. They make going to the dentist as easy as possible.

I have been with office since it opened! A client for years and brought all three children here. Wonderful caring service! Micky my hygienist take great care in cleaning my teeth! She is very thorough in her job paying attention to detail. I Love my dentist Dr Hammer and the other lady dentist no pain when my teeth are repaired or I need a crown. Definitely recommend this office on London Rd in Duluth MN.

My kids had their first dental appointment here years ago. We have been going there ever since!
My dental hygienist Deana is like family to me! ❤️ My teeth are always so smooth after my cleaning! She is really good at what she does and she is so kind! That’s nice when your sitting in the dentist chair!!!
The new team there are very nice. Ethan is a good dentist as well. He does great work and puts you right at ease.

I have been going to the London Road dental office since 1999. It is a great place to go and have all your dental needs met. Dr. Hammer is great, genuine, always concerned, very minimal pain for the several dental implants as well as crowns I have had placed over the years. I would recommend to anyone looking for a dentist to schedule at their several offices. They have many new things they offer during appointments such as pillows, blankets, headphones, dark glasses, and beverages in waiting room.

Just had my first appointment with Port City Dental, and it was beyond the best experience I could have asked for. As a newer resident to Duluth, it can be hard to find new places to be a regular patient. For dentist offices, I have no doubt that Port City is the best. Every staff member has been so kind, personable, professional and overall amazing. In a dental emergency of my husbands, they fit us in quickly. They have been clear and concise in their treatment plans for both my husband and I, helpful in insurance and billing, and overall very kind and pain conscious. Highly recommend Dr. Brekke!

Everyone at Port City Dental is welcoming and nice! Deana is an amazing hygienist! She remembers things you talked about at previous visits and even that my son has a preferred toothpaste! They all make what can sometimes be a scary appointment as relaxing as possible. Today the after visit new toy chest instead of stickers was a hit with my kid!

Have been a patient here for many years, back when it was Dr. L’Abbe and then started seeing Dr. Hammer. Both my husband and I trust him and his team. Deana usually does the cleanings and she is very good and considerate. Today I had someone else and she also seemed to do good work. Overall we are impressed with the facility and care we receive and appreciate their flexibility if we have to cancel or switch up our appointments. Had some worries about not going to the dentist for a while. From the moment I walked in, the staff made sure everything was on my terms and gave me multiple ways and times to let them know my comfort level and priorities. They gave a tour of the facility and explained everything with ample space and patience to ask questions during my appointment. I felt like I was truly cared for in so many ways!! I don't think I've ever had a cleaning where the hygienist explained what they were seeing as they cleaned and why that might be good/bad. That might sound scary or TMI, but I thought it was helpful! They would have tailored the experience to be less info if you wanted, too. I left feeling great about my smile and, dare I say, excited?! to come back for my next appointment.
