I hadn’t had a routine dental check-up for a few years, and after an excruciating sore tooth that persisted for a couple of weeks, it was eminent that I’d need to have it checked out. An X-ray that was taken revealed that I needed a root canal, and I was both embarrassed for not having taken care of my teeth for so long, and terrified for what the root canal would be like. After both the root canal, and a routine cleaning (with a few more cavities to be filled yet!) I can honestly say that the treatment by Dr. Johnson and the ENTIRE staff at Gentle Dentistry in Shakopee has been extraordinary! They walked me through everything that would take place during the root canal, what to expect afterwards, and made me comfortable so that I was in the least amount of pain and discomfort as possible. Most importantly, they didn’t make me feel the least bit intimidated for not having been for a routine check up in awhile. I would highly recommend them, and am a patient for life!

dr. johnson, dawn, and connie are the BEST! had a fantastic time chatting with connie and she has been so helpful with insurance and scheduling, dawn was compassionate and thorough during my cleaning and was really helpful without being judgemental, and dr. johnson answered all my questions and was very kind. it is the opposite of a "tense" atmosphere, everyone seems to get along and work well together, which is so important!
