New Age Dental Care

UPDATE: In addition to attempting to perform unnecessary dental work on my daughter, Dr. Kudaris did the same to me. I took the treatment plan that she recommended, along with the imaging done at New Age Dental, to another dentist. Dr. Kudaris suggested that I needed multiple fillings on TEN different teeth, totally more than $2k WITH insurance. The second dentist that I visited for a second opinion was shocked at that recommendation. She said that I actually only needed two small fillings ($200, total cost to me). What a total scam!

In February, my daughter and I both went to New Age Dental for a cleaning and a check-up. When I made our appointment, the office manager asked about our insurance. I provided her with our information, and we set an appointment time. When we arrived, the office manager informed me that their practice was out-of-network with respect to our insurance. Seems like they neglected to tell me that until we were actually in the office.

There were several red flags for me during our experience. I decided to get a second opinion from another doctor. Besides wanting to be in-network, I just had the feeling that the office was trying to rip us off.

Today, my daughter got a second opinion from another dentist. Dr. Kadaris recommended treatment for six fillings on three different teeth, totaling $283 in cost to me, after what insurance would pay. The new dentist said that she could only find ONE of the SIX cavities that Dr. Kadaris recommended for filling. She even did extra imaging and consulted another doctor in her office to be extra sure.The cost to me for that one filling? $32.

I went to Dr. Kardaris about a year ago horribly afraid to go to the dentist. It’s still not my favorite, but Dr. Kardaris has been so amazing to me. I have a lot of work to be done and have genetically bad teeth and gums. She is working with me in steps to get everything done in a way I can afford. I also have her cell number for emergencies. I had to text her on Mother’s Day due to a broken tooth. No question, she made it where she would come in before opening to help get me out of pain. I really expected to pay for an emergency visit. She told me “this tooth was next on our plan that’s not necessary”. I don’t think that’s ever happened before. Wonderful woman!

Super nice and make you feel super comfortable and welcomed! I got my teeth bleached today and they did amazing! My teeth are super bright!

As always my visit was really good. Dr Kardaris is very professional and very personable. She always puts me at ease.

Horrible dentist Horrible staff even when you have teeth that should be pulled she will refuse to pull them to be able to charge more for root canal especially when you have no insurance the staff is rude very unprofessional Horrible experience every time I have gone there

Be wary of this practice. I went in for my first appt. The hygienist started taking internal photos of my teeth before any cleaning was done, pointing out dark spots that were "suspicious." Then, the actual ceaning took place which I did not think was thorough or well done. Water splashed all over my face. The hygienist didn't clean the chewing surfaces of my teeth, which I thought was odd. I told the dentist about this and she polished them for me. Funny thing, the dark stains in the pictues taken before the cleaning were now lighter or gone after the dentist cleaned the surfaces. The dentist claimed I had 8 cavities that needed fillings. I haven't had fillings in years bc I take good care of my teeth. The dentist was very nice and answered all my questions, but I still felt uncomfortable about the visit. I looked up other reviews for this practice and read I wasn't the only person who felt duped. I read articles that said beware of dentists who offer specials or diagnose a ton of work needed at your first visit. I rememer the dentist told me she offered free whitening for her members but wanted to start this with me after all my work was done. Again, questionable. I'm definitely going elswhere for my next visit. Ask questions like if the procedures they are doing are covered by your insurance. Hope this helps someone else who is skeptical.

Very clean office,freindly and caring , does a great job and keeping you informed on what's going on w what they are doing. Works w you and understanding , I hated the dentist untill I became a paitent, now I'm glad I am a paitent Thanks to all the staff and Dr Eugenia Kardaris. I give the 5 Stars.

Friendly staff! Right now, practicing safe protocol for the current epidemic. Dr. K is very responsive and caring. She does a great job!
