Rehme Dental Care

I have been seeing Dr. Rehme for almost five years. They are very kind and very good at what they do. After having no decay in childhood, I've had a number of cavities fixed by the Drs. Rehme in adulthood. It is no fun to get drilled and filled, and as much as I dread it, they make it as painless as possible. I would recommend Dr. Rehme and Associates to anyone and everyone.

I have to be honest, my experience with getting my mercury filling removed (today) was not something I would recommend. Doctor Rehme and his staff are very nice, but the wait time and lack of communication with you as you’re sitting in the chair wondering what’s going on was not ok. I was there for nearly two hours for a filling—the removal of the mercury filling took a minute. And I don’t appreciate how it feels like X-rays are pushed even if you are not comfortable with having them done or you’ve JUST had some done—I brought my 4 month old pano X-ray with me and was still pressured into having another X-ray done. He offered to do it for free which was very nice because I couldn’t afford to do it, but it wasn’t just about money, I have enough health issues, I went to see a biological dentist because they’re supposed to understand that X-rays are overused and expose you to unnecessary radiation, but every time I’ve gone to an appointment with him I’ve been pressured into to getting x-rays, and even my “normal” dentist never made me do that—you don’t need an X-ray for a standard filling, my tooth had no pain, their was no damage, a part of my 20 or more year old filling broke off, there’s no reason to do an X-ray to check for “decay”, they even said “well I’ll see it when I get in there” seeing it on an X-ray ahead of time changes nothing with the treatment—and I didn’t even have any, my tooth was fine. It feels like he gets paid from the X-ray company every time he uses the machine. Im also upset that I was not informed that the numbing agent used before they started the procedure was mixed with epinephrine until AFTER they already administered it to me. No one asked me if I had known reactions to that or if I have any heart conditions or struggle with anxiety, WHICH I DO (all of the above)—had I been actually asked, I would have opted for the one WITHOUT epinephrine, but there was no communication about it.
I’m glad the mercury is out and they followed the proper SMART protocol, but if I had to do it again, I would go somewhere else.

I am so thankful to the staff that got me in and got everything I needed done in one day, as I have a two hour travel time to get there. Everyone was so kind and I feel like I was well taken care of! I love that they are knowledgeable about the effects of mercury fillings and take every precaution to keep their patients safe!

If you want the worst dental experience go to this doctor I guarantee you he’ll breathe bad breath in your face, he’ll chew up your mouth with his tools, he’ll steal your gold teeth that you ask him to keep, and he’ll leave plenty of garbage in your mouth after your visit to feel uncomfortable about for at least another day. I’ve been to seven dentists He is by far the worst! And his so-called chemical free material is the same stuff I glued parts on a car, no kidding !!! I’ve been to another dentist since, none of these experiences! sorry but she’s 300 miles away by Chicago if you want a good experience come to Illinois!

I normally have a lot of anxiety when it comes to the dentist. The minute I walked into this office I felt calm and welcomed. They are very informative and willing to answer all of my questions. I would highly recommend coming here.

Wolf in sheep's clothing. Horrible extraction job. He'll gladly break your teeth out before having an oral surgeon extract them. He double booked me and left me sitting in the chair between teeth extractions to go see another patient. When I say broke my tooth out, that's exactly what he did. I lost a lot of bone along with the teeth. What a mistake. RUN FROM THIS UNETHICAL PRICK!

I had health problems, including mercury poisoning, caused by prior dental work. After extracting a root canal tooth and having all metal removed, I'm back to my healthy self. I travel four hours for dental care and wouldn't trust my teeth or my health to anyone else.

Excellent service and great care. I make the effort to come here for my dental needs when visiting from out of town.

Dr. Rehme is very professional and knowledgeable. He is so kind and a wonderful dentist. Great staff too.

I love the Holistic approach. Had a root canal removed and all my horrible fillings replaced. It was worth every dime I paid to finally have a healthy mouth.
