Summit Family Dental is a great place to receive high quality and compassionate dental care. Tonya was my hygienist twice so far and has done a fantastic job each time. She explains things clearly and wants to make sure that you as a patient understand what she is saying. She is a great hygienist and truly gives empathetic and high quality care to her patients. Dr. Thompson is super friendly and caring as well and explained why a night guard would help with TMJ issues I’ve got going on. I would highly recommend this practice for your dental care!

I am new to New Mexico and wasn't sure how long it would take to find a dentist to replace the one I had been going to for more than 20 years. I had a fantastic appointment. I have not gone to the dentist in a very long time due to a horrible experience in the past. At Summit, they took the time to make me feel comfortable, they addressed my anxiety about the work that needed to be done and made sure any pain I had was taken care of. I just really want to Thank Dr. Thompson and his wonderful and amazing staff for making me feel like I was part of their dentist family. I had such a great experience at the Summit Family Dental. I haven’t been to the dentist in over 8 years just for the fear of always having a bad experience. So when I cracked my back tooth my anxiety kicked in. My friend told me alot of great things about Dr. Cowden, but when I found out he moved and that Dr. Thompson took over I was nervous. Although, I did hear that Dr. Thompson was pretty great too from just neighbors. His staff got me in pretty quick and they were all so wonderful. I loved that Dr. Thompson was patient, kind, caring and took his time to get to know you and explained everything in detail. It definitely eased my anxiety and trust. Thank you so much Dr. Thompson, Kathy and everyone who works there for making me feel so comfortable and laugh. Now I can say that The Summit Family Dental will be my dentist to go too.

Great experience! The front office staff are very friendly and efficient, the assistant/hygienist was as well and did a great job while also making sure that I was comfortable (and truly cared about my dental office anxiety). Dr. Thompson is wonderful - he is personable, professional, very caring, and takes time to listen to concerns. My experience here was excellent.

Dr. Thompson has taken over this dental practice from Dr. Cowden. He is a kind and knowledgeable dentist willing to take the time to listen to your concerns and offer guidance for your dental health. I go to Kathy for my cleanings and she is wonderful. Thorough and gentle. The staff is also very nice and accommodating. This is a well run dental practice. Highly recommended!!!
