Maria Lucia Dental

I've been coming here for the last few years and have always had great experiences. I love my hygienist, Pam, and Maria-Lucia DDS is a wonderful dentist. The receptionists are always so kind I appreciate everything they've all done for me, and will continue my routine checkups and procedures (if need be) here.

I feel sorry for the people with bad reviews because dental work isn't always the most comfortable, but being surrounded by great women makes me so happy to be a patient here.

First and foremost there is no better dentist who can administer a novocaine shot. I’ve seen plenty of dentists and you barely feel it. That’s a great quality to have as I bring my children to her and they are not good with shots. My family was blessed with teeth issues and my children as I had lots of cavities as young children and my daughter even had a cavity on an adult that came in. Dr. Lucia is one of the finest in our area. Thank you for being such a high quality individual.

Woman in room 4 told me to open my lips in which I thought I did and I was but I couldn’t tell because the pressure of biting down the X-ray object in my mouth was blocking the sense that I was, then the lady just started saying open and I got confused as in open my mouth or maybe I was improperly opening my lips and she repeated 2 more times and the last time she just yelled “OPEN!”, then I opened my mouth. Disrespectful staff as she gossiped this to the receptionist and started talking about me and saying I just stared at her when I didn’t know what she meant. How long does it take to say two more words, “open your mouth” ?

This woman should be in jail for being a manipulative con artist and that office should be shut down. Because of going to her for years (before i knew better or caught on to her scam) i now need thousands of dollars worth of work from a legitimate dentist. Had to have all my top teeth pulled, which I dont recommend. And no have to have dentures when i am barely in my 30s. Why? Because when i went to her, she wouldnt tell me anything regarding the health of my teeth until it was too late then all of a sudden i needed $1600+ root canals. And the fact that she completely took advantage of me and my disability being blind and having to rely on her to tell me the truth, i truly hope she gets the just karma she deserves. Whether it be this life of the next! You ruined my teeth and my life!

So, I originally loved this dentist office. I originally gave them a 5-star review, but after the second time they screwed me over, I’m changing my review. Lately it seems like all they care about it trying to up charge you for services you don’t need and schedule you for appointments without your knowledge, and when you inevitably miss the appointment, they send you a bill for $45.00 in the mail and make you pay it before you receive any additional treatment(s) for them. I’m not going here anymore, I’m cancelling on Monday and they’re not getting another dollar from me - Stay away from them.

Worst dentist ever, went for a cleaning and she filed my tooth for no reason at all, then tells me I need a root canal!

Do not agree with no show policies. My husband had an appointment there and was called into work that day. Called as soon as I could and was charged a no show fee. Not even a one time forgiveness. I have a massive toothache and called to make an appointment and they will see no one in my family until the no show fee is paid but didn't tell me until I showed up in the office in tears because my tooth hurt so bad. So the doctor did see me that day. Was scheduled 2 weeks later to have tooth extracted. They called to confirm appointment and a long detailed message about the no show policy. I was under the impression they waived the 45 fee until they called me 2 hours before I was supposed to be there for the extraction to tell me they would not do my extraction until it was paid. I live on a very tight budget. Very mixed emotions about this office. Don't know if I would recommend them to anyone.

I have been going there for over a year for cleanings. I have recently had pain in one of my upper molars, and had Maria Lucia's office do ex-rays about a month ago. I was then told that a piece of my enamel had chipped off which was causing my pain and that I would need a "small filling".

I've been to their office 3 or 4 times, and have maybe seen Maria Lucia for a grand total of 2 or 3 mins per visit, at MOST. I have been unhappy with their service since my first visit, when one of their hygienists made some inappropriate comments about my nasal piercings, and snotty, condescending remarks about my wanting to get my teeth whitened before getting a dental implant, as whitening is more affordable to me right now.

I was just told by my new dentist, that I have a years' worth of decay between two of my teeth (the teeth that were examined a month ago by their office) and I will now need a root canal. This could have 100% been avoided, had Maria Lucia and her hygienists took the time while examining their patients instead of rushing through to get you out the door.

I highly recommend avoiding this office - they do not care about you or your well-being. They want you in and out.

She is a god among men when it comes to dentistry! Be it adults or kids. HIGHLY recommended! The entire staff is always friendly and kind. They never judge anyone by how bad their teeth may be. Took my son who just turned 3, and they were absolutely AMAZING! can't get over the 'Gentle Dental.' She makes it to where you do NOT feel the novicane needle.

These people are thieves! They give you appointments without you knowing then call you an hour before your appointment to "remind" you then charge a $45 no show fee when you can not make it. I understand that you loose money when appointments go unfilled but to trick people into a fee is not the right way of making a living. New young Doctor trying to get established may need to hire better more competent front staff who can schedule and confirm appointments adequately.
