This office is amazing. Everyone I interacted with from the front desk staff to Dr Coalter was so helpful and friendly. I saw Dr Coalter the same day I called as a new patient with my tooth issue. He was so kind and really went above and beyond to help me- my tooth couldn’t be fixed in the office so he called an oral surgeon and set me up with a referral to be seen the very same day. I will definitely return here for all of my and my family’s dental care.

Best dental experience I’ve ever had! Taylor was my hygienist and made me feel very comfortable and did an exceptional job. Dr. Ward came in to go over treatment plan and front desk took care of my appointments and referral's. I went in shaking from nerves and left with a huge smile.

Dr. Coulter is a fantastic dentist. My dentist retired after many years and I was anxious about finding a new one. He has a wonderful dental hygienist,
Tasha. His staff is personable and professional as is Dr. Coulter. He has taken care of every dental situation for me from checkups to fillings and crowns.

Many, many thanks going out to Dr. Ian Ward & his staff. New patient to the practice, an abscessed tooth flaired up on Friday, was in excruciating pain all weekend w/swollen face due to infection. Called Dr. Ward's office Monday morning & was told to come right in. Dr. Ward immediately fit me into his already full schedule & provided excellent, professional medical care. Much appreciation to such a caring dentist & staff! Kathleen

Went to have a routine cleaning and was told I needed to have my metal fillings removed. I was having no problem with these teeth and there was no sign of decay. I went there because my my insurance carrier changed. Well...infection, root canal and crowns later. They did work that was not necessary and still send a remaining balance for problems that they created. I trusted in him as a dentist. The office manager is rude and demeaning. Unwilling to work with a patient and relay messages to the Drs. I did not receive phone calls back. They refused for weeks to send my records to my new dentist. Warning. Don’t go here unless you want to pay above the fee scale.

I have been with Dr. Ward since a dental emergency in 2011. I made the initial mistake of being a patient at Sunshine Dental (don't EVER go there!!). I went to Dr. Ward with extreme pain from a filling that was replaced at Sunshine. I had initially gone to Sunshine for the emergency appointment, but they left me in the chair for over an hour and never came in. When Dr. Ward removed this new filling he discovered that the previous dentist exposed the nerves in my tooth and put the filling directly on them, causing extreme pain. One painless hour later, my emergency root canal was over! I highly recommend the expertise of Dr. Ward and his wonderful staff for any of your dental needs!

I cannot say enough good things about this dental practice. Prior to my first appointment with Dr.Coalter, I hadn’t been to the dentist in SEVEN YEARS. 7 years people! I had severe dental anxiety. When I first met with Dr.Coalter, he went out of his way to listen to my fears and address them. Because of this, I was able to accomplish several visits worth of dental work with no anxiety or fear. Most recently, I had my wisdom teeth extracted by an oral surgeon in Potsdam. I ended up getting a dry socket and didn’t want to drive back to Potsdam to have it addressed. I called Dr. Coalter’s office to see if he could help. Ten minutes later...10 minutes!!!! I received a phone call back that Dr.Coalter would squeeze me in as soon as I was available to come in. An hour later, my dry socket was treated and I was back home, resting much more comfortably. Not just any dentist would do that! Thank you Dr.Coalter and staff! You are so appreciated!

Unfortunately they are do work that is unnecessary and causes more work after the first appointment. This happened to myself and another person I know that went to this office. Ended up with a root canal and crown because he removed 2 fillings because they were metal. Warning unless you want to pay a lot of money out of pocket choose another dentist.

My mom went in for a tooth ache and expecting an extraction that day and told them this was the reason for the visit. Dr. Ward barely spent five minutes with her just to inform me that they don't do tooth extractions and that she must see an oral surgeon for her tooth. He was very short and pretentious. No more business for him.
