I've been visiting Carrboro Family Dentistry for almost a year now, and I've been very pleased. I've had considerable dental work in the past and have lived in multiple parts of the country, so I have a lot of dentists to compare with. I've seen Dr. Sturdevant for exams, replaced fillings, and a crown replacement. He is extremely thorough, careful, and takes the time to do an excellent job. Shots are practically painless because he takes the time to administer them slowly, unlike other dentists who rush everything. In addition, the staff are very friendly, efficient, and professional. I highly recommend this practice!

My primary care physician recommended Dr. Randall and my first visit was in April 2008. I have kept up with 6-month checkups and last two have been with Dr. Sturdevant and great continuity with the hygienists. I feel they are very thorough with record keeping on watching teeth and gums for changes, and recommending what I can do better which ideally would be to floss daily. I appreciate their coaching on my dental care and maintaining my dental health!

Staff are so very friendly, I’m always greeted warmly when I walk in. Good selection of magazines too, but never enough time to read them. My British teeth aren’t up to American standards, but they soon will be! Dr Sturdevant has a healthy interest in his patients and a fine sense of humour to go with it.
If going to the dentist can be fun then this is the closest you’ll find to it.

Dr. Sturdevant has been an excellent “addition” to the practice. He is great at explaining things in ways that even I could understand. A nice place for everyone, quiet waiting room, warm atmosphere and I always leave with a great smile!

The team really makes this place - the new dentist Dr. Sturdevant is great and the entire staff are kind, informative, helpful, and consistent. I appreciate that Dr. Sturdevant and his predecessor Dr. Randall take a conservative approach when it comes to fillings. I have a lot of anxiety about dental procedures, and Dr. Sturdevant and Ann were incredibly compassionate and patient in helping my anxiety during a recent visit. Scheduling is pretty easy - Kristy is a great help with that.
