Winston Smiles Dentistry

Still owed $400 for work done. Went in for a cleaning, because it is COMPLETELY covered by insurance and wouldn't increase my bill. Hygenist told me I was due for x-rays, which were taken (App. $1,000, $400 of which was my responsibility), then, at the front, was told by receptionist, in front of other patients and employees that they couldn't offer me any more services until I paid off my bill, because it was too high
(Don't have a billing office, where this conversation could have taken place in private?). They knew this BEFORE the x-rays, but recommended that I get them anyway. What was the point in x-rays if you weren't going to do anything with them? Padding the bill? Dental work was good, but trust in the practice gone completely....

The staff was very nice and the dentists and his assistant made me feel at very ease. Both explained to me what they were doing and then after the examination let me know what needed to be done. It was a very pleasant visit to the dentist. Oh yeah they play good music.

I was just seen by Winston Smiles Dentistry for the first time today. I have had some immense pain on the right side of my mouth that just kept getting worse. No matter how much ibuprofen/tylenol I took, no matter how warm salt water rinse I did, cold compress - it was just absolutely painful. I finally gave into the advice of seeing someone today. I’m not one to go to the dentist or doctor and have a high pain tolerance but this just wasn’t going away. I called SO MANY dentists and most of them were rude to me. When all I asked is if they had any availability - I’m in excruciating pain and just need to be seen. I didn’t want to go the emergency room either. I finally came across Winston Smiles Dentistry and called and Candy (I believe that’s her name) answered and was SO pleasant. It was a relief to hear her be so kind and patient with me. I was unable to talk clearly due to the pain but she was so patient with me and so sweet. I got there and everything went smoothly. Everyone was very nice once I arrived. Dr. Pruitt did a Great job at examining and explaining things. He pulled an abscessed tooth for me. I was squeezed in already and then they offered to pull the tooth in the same day. The dental assistant was also so sweet. She was very well spoken and rubbed my arm while I was gives a couple shots in my mouth. I think they could tell I was in a lot of pain and very embarrassed by the state of my oral health. This dentistry is probably one of the best if not the best I’ve been to. This abscess decided to make a head during my visit with family and my best friend - so I don’t even live here in N.C but I’ve made a follow up appointment for next month with this dentistry because I am so pleased with this experience. They are absolutely wonderful people and I truly appreciate them being so kind and patient with me. They are also pretty affordable. The X-ray and extraction came out to be cheaper than I expected. Dr Stowe is an amazing dentist. Not only does he do a good job , but he cares about his patients and doesn’t do any unnecessary dental work and if something is necessary and you can’t afford it he will work with you. He truly goes above and beyond to help his patients. He is kind and and considerate, and I would recommend his practice a thousand times over.

I have been a patient at this practice for more than 25 years. Dr. Pruitt and all of the dental hygienists I have seen are friendly, kind, and competent. I am completely satisfied in all aspects. I trusted the practice so much that I began bringing my now 27-year old son with special needs here for his dental care when he was 9 years old. Everything has been great for both of us!

Very nice and courteous! Dental hygienist was exceptional very kind pleasant and beautiful to talk to! Dentist was always very courteous with a great personality! They have always treated me well. Will always recommend them as an excellent place friendly work environment to visit and have as your own personal dentist!!!!

As an update, the computer says to contact office after a bad review...I did, my husband did...Receptionist or Dentist still wouldn't budge on anything...My Son is special needs and basically got thrown to the curb...Unprofessional in everyway..

This place deserves more than a 5 ⭐ review, I'm extremely happy with my daughter's visit. Staff is very friendly and they make you feel at home. I recommend Winston Smiles Dentistry for any age, you'll love it I promise. Thanks to Kandi for scheduling an appointment right away for my daughter, she was very friendly and professional i can tell she loves what she does, she deserves a grammy 🤭 we'll be back soon⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The receptionist is RUDE. She answered the phone with an attitude as if I was bothering her. She wasn’t friendly and didn’t greet me like a receptionist should. The first question she asked was what type of insurance do I have. Not “how can I help you?” or “would you like to schedule an appointment?”. I then told her that I have WellCare. She immediately replied “I’ve never heard of that so we don’t accept it”. What an ignorant way to think that just because you’ve never heard of something means the practice doesn’t accept it. I then asked her if they accept Medicaid and she replied that they do. So I told her that WellCare IS Medicaid. Then, and only then, did she decide that it would be a good idea to check to see if they accept WellCare, which she discovered that they do in fact accept it. This rude witch wrote me off from the start and dismissed me not even properly greeting me or checking to see if they accept my insurance. Then after all of this she puts me on a very long hold so I just hung up and made an appointment with another office. They lost a potential patient because of a terrible receptionist. Receptionist are often the first point of contact for most potential patients. Don’t let a bad apple ruin your business or reputation. Don’t let a bad apple run people away before you’ve had the chance to service them.

Words can’t express how grateful I am for this practice. Dr. Albertson was very kind, patient and thorough. My 13 year old daughter chipped two teeth on her 13th birthday. She was devastated. Dr. Albertsons was able to give her back her smile. Thank you so much for your patience and expertise. We will forever be grateful!
