Timberhill Dental - Corvallis

Dr. Black's dentistry office is phenomenal. Not only is the staff friendly and the office beautiful but I felt well taken care of. Being no stranger to dentists it is hard to find somewhere you don't feel taken advantage of and Dr. Blacks staff has been nothing but friendly and supportive of me asking any questions throughout my time there. I don't often look forward to going to the dentist but Dr. Black's office makes it easy and enjoyable to go!

P.s There is a hand-dip during your routine cleaning and who doesn't want a spa treatmanet while getting their mouths cleaned!

Great experience getting a chipped tooth fixed and old filling replaced. That staff was super friendly and helpful. I could not even feel it when Dr. Black was giving shots to numb my mouth. My teeth look great after they were done. I would recommend to anyone.

My experience at Timberhill Dental was wonderful! The staff make you feel at home and take great care of you. I had to get a crown put in which involved receiving 5 shots. With Dr. Black's care I didn't feel a thing. I just sat back and watched TV while he worked his magic. I have never had a dentist before where I didn't feel a thing when they had to do work on me. Needless to say I will never go to another dentist. Highly recommended!

I went in for veneer consultations and a couple of follow-up appointments with Dr. Means. He was very patient with me, and explained thoroughly every question that I had. He went out of his way to consult with other dentists too, as to see what the best/optimal option would be for my case (I'd like to think my case was a little difficult considering the type teeth I have). He absolutely wanted the job done right.

The staff there were also very friendly!

Unfortunately I didn't go through with the process, at no fault of Timberhill Dentals of course. I was just too scared to go through with the process, and I don't think any dentist could have changed my mind.

For the time that I was there, I had a wonderful experience and would recommend anyone here :)

I hate going to the dentist. I have recently decided to conquer my anxiety and just go. I had a lot of dental work yesterday. A lot of drills and open wide requests for over 2 hours (crowns). First, I knew what I was getting into as the staff prepares you for the procedures and the costs. Second, Dr. Black was very clear that I would be in pain and likely bruised afterward. I may also have some sore gums. Results: Nothing hurt during the procedure for one. And then my pain was minor the next day. No bruises. And my gums seemed to have healed over night. And my temporary crowns I can’t even feel they are perfectly sculpted. The real ones will be smooth! Anyway I highly recommend this place and Dr. Black!! He’s a no nonsense get to it kind of guy and I don’t want to process dental work w anyone. I’m sure he’d share more if you want. But I don’t want to visualize what he’s seeing. Anyway. I’ve had some really bad experiences in Portland and he’s restored my faith in the health routine.

As someone with high anxiety when it comes to dental work, they really went above and beyond to make my time there as comfortable as possible. Staff is amazing and always remember my wife and I, which made it feel more personal.

Plus, they have amazing cookies 😁

After a broken tooth, a root canal, and another break, my dentist felt he couldn't save my tooth. He suggested an implant. A friend recommended I send the x-rays to Dr. Black for a 2nd opinion, who thought he could save the tooth.

So, I drove a few hours to Timberhill Dental and met with Dr. Black and Tina. In about 3 hours, they prepared my tooth, made the crown, repaired 3 additional areas of decay with fillings, and cemented the crown into my mouth. NO FURTHER VISITS necessary. All in ONE SHOT! They've got a cool machine that mills the crown from a block of porcelain and a kiln that hardens it on site. Easy peasy.

I now have a new "tooth" that feels and behaves like the real thing. Dr. Black tells me that it won't last forever, I'm not yet 50 after all, but I'm thrilled to be using as much of my "original parts" as possible!

I was given a clear understanding of the pain I could expect both during and after the procedure. But, honestly, there's been very little pain.

The rest of the experience was great. The office is very comfortable and classy. The mirror in the bathroom even told me I looked "fantastic". Seriously.

Dr. Black's assistant/partner Tina was fantastic. They've clearly worked together a long time and communicate well with each other. Tina even understood what I tried to say with a mouth full of instruments. She also made sure I was comfortable with a cozy blanket over my lap, an extra adjustment of the head rest, etc.

They also clearly stay up on the latest and greatest in dental care. When I was in the office, I overheard them explain the cool crown-making machine to another dentist who was visiting. They've clearly gone above and beyond when it comes to understanding and using their equipment.

Five Stars, you bet!!!

Not once have I had a negative experience or interaction in my decade+ seeing Kurt and his team. Recently met the newer addition to this practice and have been impressed with the professionalism and the excellence.

Pretty much cured me of my dental phobias! I had to have extensive work done in four separate appointments about three years ago, and Dr. Black and his staff took the best care of me. I look forward to my regular cleanings now (Sarah is awesome). No more avoiding the dentist office!

Cleaning time at Timber Hill Dental today. This is really a very good experience in inter action with all these very fine professional people. Nothing less than your best interest shown by everyone. Thanks for another fantastic visit. Love you all.
