Well, they got the tooth out. And I basically got told to be quiet while yelling in pain. I have a high pain tolerance, let me say that. But I think they maybe numbed in the wrong spot or something. They did try numbing me a second time, but then didn't wait to see if it kicked in before tugging at the tooth again.

I don't like ending dentist appointments sobbing, but I did here!!!

I needed an emergency tooth extraction; it took fighting with the entire staff at advantage dental on 17th street for 4 straight days, before I was able to finally get an appointment there. At said appointment every employee that I encountered was both rude, as well as outright judgmental towards me. The nurse acted as if she were performing an execution, on her day off. The doctor took it upon himself to lie to my face about what my insurance would and would not cover, just to avoid having to do any more work than absolutely necessary. The one moment that I was not being actively offended, was the 15 minutes in which I was sure the doctor was going to inadvertently break my jaw or at least a couple healthy teeth, as he literally wrenched at my mouth with all the finesse of a caveman. I can’t wait to go back for a follow up appointment!!

P.s. in reading through the other reviews on here; isn’t it amazing how 90% of the positive reviews have the exact same wording………?!

I've been going to this specific location for over 7 years and have had the same hygienist.
Over the years I have come to trust her completely with my dental needs.

She does top notch work, and shes polite and professional. I would recommend Laurie

Unbelievable friendly, kind, respectful. They treat you like you are family. My insurances company wanted me to switch Dental offices. I said, absolutely not.
I look forward, to going to my Dental appointments. First time in 60 years. Going to Advantage Dental on 17th and Chambers, is like the TV Show Cheers. Where everyone knows your name. Give them a try you will not be disappointed. Ask to see Dr. Thien. He’s my Dentist. Tell him hi for me. A+

Thank you for pulling all 4 of my wisdom teeth. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I was pretty nervous about it and everything went even better than I expected.
Everyone was very friendly and clean. And the Dr and assistant Drs, made me feel very comfortable and ready to take on the challenge of getting teeth pulled. In all but 10 minutes, all 4 teeth were out and it’s been almost 2 weeks of healing now and everything is going very well! I appreciate your work for the community and health care.

I came in for an extraction. Rather nervous at first. But Dr. Dhillon and his assistant Sierra were very nice. He was straight forward, very confident, and very efficient. My tooth was out in three minutes. Very nice team. Thank you both very much.

I was very nervous about my tooth being pulled but from the moment Angie greeted me I was assured that Dr Dhillon would be able to handle any problems we might face. When they were done it was absolutely the best extraction experience I have ever had.

If you’re on OHP the worst possible dentist you could go to they schedule appointments without telling you, they refuse to see you if you’re pregnant and yes they legal can look in your mouth if you’re pregnant though options are limited. They refused to remove not one but two abscessed teeth because it was a big enough deal to have them removed because my dr. Prescribing antibiotics for 3 months because my face being swollen and in pain isn’t clear enough proof for them to remove the problem teeth. Worst dentist ever.

They must've gotten new staff! I was dreading going to my first appointment after reading all the reviews, I was even thinking about canceling because the reviews were so terrible. I barely got sleep the night before just preparing myself to get treated poorly and carelessly. Luckily I was wrong, maybe I just got all the best employees on their best day. But I must say this was actually one of the best dentist appointments Ive had. Dr. Johnson was so nice and helpful and I never felt judged for having cavities at 34! She went out of her way to make sure I would get what I needed. Even the dental assistant was so sweet and warned me when the xray bites would be painful and gave me permission to just let them go if it got too painful. They even offered to numb me if my cleaning was too painful! I've never had a dentist offer that, rather the others made me sit through it in so much pain! Whoever said to try out the new staff, I'd have to say I second that! I truly had a great experience, and hope that this is consistently their new normal as far as client care goes.

They must have really changed their staff up according to the past reviews! I admit, after reading prior reviews, I was really anxious about going for my 1st appointment, but I have now had 3 appointments with them and they have all been great! All of the staff are super sweet, and really want to make sure you are comfortable! Dr. Johnson did such a great job fixing some fillings that were botched by my old dentist, and now they look and feel so mich better! Advantage dental has made me a believer, and I will continue to visit them for my dental needs! Keep up the good work!
