Customer service is great, but other than that I would not recommend them.
Open Door was my dentist for at least 2 years… I kept telling them I had pain in my tooth and they’d always “brush it off” (pun intended).
It was a tooth that had a previous root canal in it. They FINALLY sent me to the root canal specialist in Central Point. It turns out I had a tooth infection. The “root canal specialist” put me on amoxicillin and I was supposed to go in to get it fixed. It kept getting put off - long story short - they did 2 more root canals on that tooth.
Meanwhile, they had me on amoxicillin for THREE months!!! I eventually had to go to the ER because the tooth hurt SO bad!! The ER gave me morphine and an IV of antibiotics and prescription for Vicodin. I couldn’t take the pain any longer so my mother, my husband AND I called Open Door to have the tooth pulled and they WOULD NOT pull the tooth!
They wanted to refer me to “specialist”. They made me call the specialist and the specialist said they couldn’t see me for 3 months! This was a medical emergency. We told Open Door that it was an emergency and they did NOT care whatsoever and did absolutely nothing to help.
I eventually got the tooth pulled by a local dentist in town the next day. He’s now my new dentist. My new dentist put me on something else besides amoxicillin (so in total I was on antibiotics for 4 months). The other antibiotic killed the infection along with getting it extracted.
It doesn’t end there - they kept calling me for appointments after I told them to stop calling me and to take me off of their schedule. 🙄

My husband and I have gone to Open Door Dentistry since 2015. Absolutely everyone who works there is supportive, friendly and professional. They work very hard to see to your comfort. Their policy for cleanings is the best in the industry. When my husband required a costly procedure they made it very easy for us to get Care Credit. I highly recommend Ooen Door Dentistry!

I simply love this dentist office as well as Dr Murdock. The whole staff is friendly it’s a calming atmosphere and Dr Murdock is great with patients. I’ve had a difficult time going to the dentist throughout my life. I now enjoy and look forward to going to the dentist because I get to see these lovely people!
