Above & Beyond Family Dentistry

I am not one to write reviews. However, after a few appointments at this place I thought it was necessary. This place is absolutely amazing! I have had a rough time with every dentist I've ever been to and have teeth that need some intense work. They have done a wonderful job explaining everything needed done step by step and make me feel so comfortable during procedures. They work with me as far as scheduling appointments out further to fit in my budget (we all know dentist work isn't cheap). The customer service is top tier with the ladies at the front desk. The staff is very personal, professional, helpful and kind. I am only in the beginning of my treatment but this place has been nothing but a source of hope as far as getting a bright and healthy smile that seemed intangible prior to coming here. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I have not been to a dentist in years and had grown up using a local dentist in the Red Lion area. Since I live just outside of York New Salem, I thought that I would give these folks a try. I have to agree with all of the positives that have been given. From the front desk to the staff and Dr Mistry, I really liked the staff that they let you know what they will be doing and answer all of the questions that you may have. So far I would like to send kudos to the staff

I was very disappointed with my visit today! I’m not sure how my teeth can be cleaned in 15 minutes! I’ve been a patient for over 30 years! In the olden days I would be back for at least one hour! Fluoride was not even offered. Unfortunately I think I will be looking for a new dentist! I sure miss Dr. Blevins and his staff!

I’ve always had a terrible time with my teeth and pretty traumatic experiences at the dentist. When I found Above & Beyond, all that changed. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. Dr. Kaplan is beyond nice and great at her job and explaining what she’s doing for you. They do their best to work with you and your schedule. They’re just the best. I look forward to visiting the dentist now. I’d recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Mistry and his staff are an awesome team! Very friendly and professional. They also show compassion and spend time listening to your concerns.

Awesome experience today and am glad I found a close to home dentist. Very nice and clean environment. Very positive and friendly staff from reception to the dentist and everyone in between. I came in for a dentist visit after not being to the dentist for a while and they were absolutely no judgment. They took X-rays, checked my teeth and gums, and even squeezed me in for a cleaning when they had a last minute cancellation. Will be going here for years to come!

Dr. Cha and the staff at Merit Dental are kind, compassionate and understanding people. They have been great with our family. I have seen and experienced first hand how they adapt to the needs of the elderly (my mom was 90) and people with brain injuries (my husband has cognitive problems due to an illness). Not everyone in the medical field gives people with special needs the time and care they require but Merit Dental definitely did and continues to do so. It was deeply touched that they sent a sympathy card to me when my mom died this past Christmas.

The team at Merit Dental is incredible. I love the hot neck roll they always provide during my cleaning and everyone there is super sweet. It's not quite a spa day, but they really create a relaxing and friendly environment. They do an excellent job with my children as well and somehow managed to keep my normally timid 6-year-old calm while getting a filling. I'd highly recommend Dr. Cha and the team at Merit Dental.

The whole staff is very personable while maintaining the professionalism you expect from a dental office. Steph was my hygienist and she was great at explaining everything in a way that I didn’t feel belittled and in terms I understood. Dr Kaplan was very friendly and was able to quickly come up with a game plan to correct the issues I’m having, and she didn’t make me feel bad that it’s been a while since I’ve been to the dentist. The front desk lady (Tabitha) was able to print out what I was to expect price-wise of some upcoming fillings, instead of it being a mystery. Very nice office. Th only drawback is the limited hours, but it works for my schedule at this point

My first visit the computers were down, which helped me out in the long run because I didn’t want my picture taken. I was bummed, I couldn’t get my xrays done though but next time I go I will. When they first meet you, they shake your hand which is a first for me. No other doctor or dentist did that before. The teeth cleaner (sorry, I forgot your name) was very informative, told me everything she was doing and answered all my random questions. She was very gentle, because when they scrape and pick your teeth it’s a little nerve wrecking and with the cleaning she was amazing. They are understanding and very patient and nice there. Totally worth the trip.
