We are new to the area, making it worse to find anyone while in pain to take care of you.i called Dr. Haywood's office, they were able to see my husband and extract the tooth the same day! My husband said that he didn't even know the tooth had been pulled. GREAT WORK AND GREAT STAFF!😁

Had a need for emergency tooth extraction my dentist does not pull teeth. Referred me to an oral surgeon in Towson soonest appointment was April 14 and required a consultation before during anything. Consultation fee $225 and then starting fee of $775 to remove tooth could be higher!
I called several dentist in SYC SAME NOTHING until APRIL. All requiring consultation before treatment. Saw someone suggest DR HAYWOOD in Shrewsbury!!!
Called they got me in for an emergency visit that same day completed all dental needs that same day!!
Office staff and Dr are TOPNOTCH! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THUS PRACTICE! Will be returning for all my future dental needs! His fee was less expensive then the oral surgeon and all others in Shrewsbury! THANK YOU DR HAYWOOD AND STAFF!

Made me feel at ease. Great staff as well. Very caring! Amanda was so gentle, and you can tell she genuinely cares. I had to get 4 needles in my mouth and I have to say it was virtually painless. Very friendly staff and incredibly accommodating. I adopted kittens at the beginning of the pandemic and they loved my Viveras, which meant they completely disappeared. Dr. Haywood replaces them quickly and at cost. Thank you!!!!!

After years of putting off dental work and meeting with other dentists suggesting that I "try this, or try that" I met Dr Haywood. He explained exactly what we needed to do to address the corrections needed, and provided a treatment plan that made sense. Very happy with my results and would recommend Southern York Smile Care to anyone considering dental work, or looking for a new dentist!

Dr. Haywood is always on his A game! He always put in true effort and care, never does anything callously! Wonderful staff who works with efficiency and diligence. I have never found any other place that is as good as his.

Cunning and Deceitful sums it up....

I had the worst experience I have ever had with a Dentist. I had two crowns done by Dr. Haywood and while there for my initial appointment it was explained to me that I would need to prepay $1,500 which was estimated to be my portion once insurance covered the rest. This was explained to me while in the dental chair in between having a drill in my mouth. My card was taken and charged while I was still having work done. Come to find out that I should have only paid $900 and then the real fun began. Once I discovered that I had been overcharged I requested a refund from the office. I was told they could not process my refund until they had been paid by the insurance company even though I had an EOB in hand which explained the details of my payments and insurance payments. Then once they finally recieved payment they refused to give me my refund because Carefirst did not cover all the services. Well turns out that is because the office did not submit the claim correctly. They submitted the claim as if all the services (build up, crown lengthing and crown placement) were all done on the same day (I believe they did this purposefully so they could submit the claim before work was complete). Since the claim was submitted that way insurance did not pay for the crown lengthing as that is there policy (Haywood should know this). So knowing that Dr. Haywood made a mistake did I now get my $600....nope. He needed to submit an adjusted claim to correct the dates, which took his office over 2 weeks. And guess what they figured out how to botch that submission as well. Again I know for a fact that they submitted the first claim before all the work was done, which is not allowed and why they used the same date for all services in the first place. Trying to beat the system backfired and ultimately cost me. Basically this process started in Sept 2018 and I was just finally paid Mar 2019 and that was all due to their incompentence/sketchy practices. Not to mention the way he treated his female staff in front of me was simply disgusting. Berating them for being slow or forgetting equipment in his other office....disgraceful.

Dr Haywood and his staff are wonderful and very professional. They make your experience and visit as comfortable, painless as possible and to give you the best smile. They take pride in their hard work. I would recommend their services to everyone.

My teeth were very bad when dr Haywood evaluated them. He does amazing work and his staff was very pleasant and caring. I would recommend him

Dr. Haywood is simply the best. Highly knowledgeable & well-studied in his field. And the staff is extremely professional.
