I'm pretty happy with Aspen Dental, I would have gave them a 5 stars but when my temp bridge broke on Friday they couldn't get me in until the following Monday. very pleased with the perm bridge and results.

They do an ok job if all you need is cleaning but they get you by being a little bit cheaper than other places. However, after the first year the prices rise back up because you no longer get a new patient discount. First few times I came in the bills were around $120. Now for my third appoint the costs were $230, which was quite a jump. It also always seemed like there was a weird tension in the office.

Place is a little dirty, everything they perform ends up being an upcharge and they love to sell you on their products. My advise as a new resident here in State College is find another dentist.

A horror story. I was getting two cavities filled, and in the middle of the procedure the dentist got up and left and did not return for about 30 minutes. Nobody told me what was going on and I was sitting there, confused and with a hollow shell of a tooth on one side and cement that had not been touched or sanded on the other side. Finally she returned and finished up the job. The whole thing was a nightmare.

Aspen Dental is quick with their work and thus far I have not had any long wait times. I appreciate that they are right up front with you about the costs involved.I must echo what I have seen in other reviews however, and that is, that despite the TV commercials with the smiling patients enjoying their dental visits, this is not how it is in real life. There is always pain involved with a dental visit although this time the pain was relatively minor and easily bearable, but not always.The bitewing X-Ray devices still cut the gums and touch the back of the tongue and induce nausea. This is the 21st century right? I appreciate the effort, but it seems dentistry is now a production line service geared toward straight line efficiency and production. Most of my visit was with a hygienist and like many others only saw the dentist for about 3 minutes. I don't even know the dentist's name. A dentist visit is still a dentist visit..........I'll not be back.

*Tech was professional as always. Doctor immediately came in to follow up . Scheduled my 6 month visit. Insurance processed. Makes going to the dentist enjoyable.

Waste of time. My husband went for tooth pain and he didn't even see a dentist.They did x-rays, a hygienist tapped on his front teeth and asked if he felt it (those aren't the ones that were bothering him), did more x-rays and told him nothing is wrong then sent him to check out. He waited 15 minutes in check out until the lady came and asked him if he wanted to schedule his cleanings. Wasted 2 hours of the day for nothing.
