Gentle Dental

The least gentle dentist I've ever been to. The younger dentist "nudged" a tooth on accident, then requested I come in to look at it and it would probably be $2,000 to fix. Ouch, far from gentle! I also ordered replacement invisalign retainers. I've had invisalign for 15 years now and have gone through the process of ordering new retainers more than once so I'm familiar with it. The first issue was getting them to understand I just needed new retainers, they kept requesting I come in for a consultation to have all new trays made. After they realized they just needed to call invisalign to order a set, then I was quoted wrong pricing (they quoted me $965 for 3 lower retainers) which led me to only order a replacement lower at the cost of $265 for one lower retainer. I tried explaining to them its normally $245 for 4 lower retainers but they kept insisting the price increased to $965. When they arrived guess what, there were 4 retainers in the box...for $265. I was so unhappy with Gentle Dental I never even called back to order replacement upper retainers. Now I'm back to the drawing board on finding a good dentist with staff that has training.

Gentle dental is my favorite dentle practice. Absolutely wonderful people who really care about their patients. My dentist Dr. Longworth is the best dentist that has ever helped me with my old old teeth. Only place I will ever visit and thank goodness I found them. Very professional and personable. Lovely people!!

I have had two appointments here, and they have been absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. During my exam, they were thorough and explained every aspect of what they were doing. We made a plan, but unfortunately, I had an issue with one of my teeth before we were able to start. They were able to squeeze me in and take care of everything. They made sure I was comfortable and not in pain through the entire thing. 1000% recommend!

With more than 50 years of dental history, I can objectively say that this is the best team of dental professionals I've had take care of my dental needs. I've had an implant, tooth extraction, and three crowns in the past two years. They are the only dentist on the Peninsula open on Fridays, which has been a huge plus! The office staff are very professional and will do there best to work with you on scheduling your appointments. Excellent!

Great people, professional service, and a very clean and kept office. The dentist has always been very knowledgeable and the staff is very helpful and motivated. The equipment is cutting edge and light years ahead of equipment I’ve seen used at other offices. This is an office that is motivated to grow as a business and please each person that walks through the door, ensuring that you have a good experience. Very impressed and satisfied patient. While on vacation I had an unfortunate situation with a molar tooth that flared up from a failed root canal causing pain and infection. Dr. White’s office staff was kind, understanding and worked hard to find an available appointment for me to be seen. Upon entering the Gentle Dental office, there was a calm and serene atmosphere. Staff was welcoming. The office is clean, organized and has the latest technology available to ease your way. I especially appreciated the email reminder and text reminder for my appointment. This is a nice, non-pushy way to communicate with your patients. Dr. White was gentle yet, efficient in successfully extracting my tooth quickly and without adding more discomfort than I was already in. Though I’ve experienced years of working in the dental field, this was my first extraction. I am very thankful for the Gentle Dental team. I honestly feel they all have the heart and passion to make your dental experience as positive as possible. That being said it is equally important that YOU as a patient communicate your preferences in your care. Diversity in personalities although essential for balance can make it difficult to personalize care. Don’t expect others to read your mind.

I had 2 fillings fall out from a previous dentist. Infection set in and Pain. Called Gentle dental because of their radio ads. Was told they might be able to squeeze me in due to the infection/pain, called me later to schedule about 2 weeks out after getting my insurance information. (Called others, again, 2 weeks out). I battled with infection until appointment and arrived to find very friendly staff. Got in right away and a very concerned assistant started asking about my situation and taking X-rays. Approximately 30 minutes into it I had to ask if the dentist would be repairing my tooth. I came to realize I was in some type of Time share sales trap. She asked if I was prepared to be there for 2 hrs for initial examination. Started pushing deep cleaning to get a calcium deposit on 1 tooth saying I have a pocket between tooth and gums that scary bacteria had gotten to and now have a home. After the description of the scrapping they want to do I asked if that would make bigger pockets. Her answer was to come back every 3 months for cleanings. In pain and at their mercy I agreed to any/all things just please fix my tooth. She then spoke to the dentist, came back and said he can't do it today. Just deep cleaning and reschedule knowing full well for 2 weeks that I am in pain and after explaining all the dangers of bacteria in my gums. I asked "another 2 weeks?", She replied "I hope not." I left.

Told my mom before her appointment that they offer payment plans so she could get her teeth fixed before my sister's wedding and after the appointment they said they wanted the 4000 cash up front! Who has that kind of money at one time? Especially seniors living off of social security! Rude people and very misleading! And my mom can't get her teeth fixed now before the wedding!

Dr. White tried to fill a cavity got flustered and walked away leaving my tooth unfilled.Now I am in extreme pain and Gentle Dental won't even return my phone calls.If you like pain use Dr.White.

The staff has always been welcoming and friendly to me and everyone I have seen them interact with. The doctor is fast and efficient without coming across as cold or uncaring. Great place!

Dr. White and his team are amazing! The moment I entered the office I immediately felt welcome. Dr. White is so nice and has great way of making you feel calm in the dental chair. Gentle Dental is a perfect name for his office! His assistants are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and his hygienists are gentle and thorough! They are the best of the best and I actually look forward to my next visit! Highly recommend Dr. White and his team if you're looking for a new dentist or just looking for a change.

Don't just avoid - run away! Doctor bounces between patients as his staff does most of the actual work. I don't believe all the work was really necessary or done to a high standard. He had an idea of what was wrong before he ever looked at my mouth. The appointments are long but much of it is sitting. To top it off, the office personnel are rude.
