Summit Oral Surgery

Summit was incredibly supportive and helpful. I was told I needed oral surgery ASAP…. I was referred to many places - most couldn’t get me in for 2 months, another couldn’t get me in for 5 months! And that was just for a consultation, not even a surgery. I contacted Summit and they got me in to see the doctor THAT DAY! I was in so much pain and I was starting to have numbness in my lips and felt like the inside of my head was itchy (weird, I know). During my consultation, the doctor immediately knew what the problem was and he was able to resolve it then and there. The staff were so supportive and understanding, and Dr. Wimsatt was fantastic! My pain and numbness immediately went away! It’s been a week since the doctor treated me, and I am 100% better! I hope more dentists start referring patients to Summit Oral Surgery - it was so stressful trying to find someone who could get me in and it turns out the best option was right here in the valley!

I had to have a very small biopsy this past week. I can't say enough good things about the people who work here. I was so nervous, but they were extremely patient with me. A nurse held my hand. No one seemed annoyed or inpatient with me. The doctor was just the nicest person. I told my husband I wish the doctor could also be my general doctor, eye doctor, chiropractor, etc haha. He was just really gentle and patient. I would recommend Summit to anyone!

I have an innate fear of dentist that I cannot shake. I was sent here by my dentist, because of this fear for dental work. I found the staff to be extremely nice, and that quickly helped me relax about being there. That feeling however lasted only mere moments until I met the actual doctor. He was very dismissive of anything I was trying to say. Seemed to be aggravated by my medical history, and made me feel as if I was a part on an assembly line to be dealt with. The fact of the matter is that I rate fairly good, or bad. If it had not been for his staff, and his actual knowledge then I would have rated it one star.

Got me in fast, was respectful of my situation, I really appreciate it.

I have been to this office several times and the office staff has been incredibly friendly and welcoming. The staff is quite fun and I never leave feeling like I was just rushed through an appointment. Dr. Wimsat is always wonderful. A warm hearted gentleman who truly cares about his patience and takes the time to explain each procedure and makes sure he's answered any questions and that you feel comfortable. I simply love the entire staff at Summit Oral Surgery and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Dental office doesn't respect bodily autonomy, or stop if you tell them that they are hurting you during the pre op exam. Rachel and Crystal (no idea what their job title is, they do not wear name tags) did not acknowledge or seem to care when I expressed my pain and discomfort during the exam. They then refused to continue treatment and rushed me out of their office, instead of just apologizing for not forcefully shoving people by the back of the head. They also at no time ask if you have pain in your face today.

Rachel the receptionist is extremely rude and needs to learn how to communicate more effectively with people. My wife complained to me about how rude she was on the phone when trying to book and appointment. When she called again she put the phone on speaker for me to listen in and it’s confirmed, Rachel is short/ doesn’t seem like she cares/ and had a horrible tone of voice with my wife. I’m sure this place does great oral surgery, but if I can’t even get through the front door for an appointment because of Rachel’s inadequate people skills, there is a problem.

Dr.Jason Dashow and Dr Jen took care of my son at Regional Hospital (E.R) Anchorage. Both are very knowledgeable and took their time helping my son to recover. Thank you and God bless you both.

The staff at Summit Oral Surgery took great care of me, the procedure went off without a hitch, and I wasn't in pain the next day. The Doctor called me with my test result, all great news. I highly recommend Summit Oral Surgery.

My 79 year old mother had all her teeth removed. She and I were very nervous. The team at summit was outstanding and made us feel totally comfortable. I felt safe and in good care.

Unreliable. They called me and rescheduled me twice because of problems with their doctors. Called me the day before my surgery and referred me to a different practice in Eagle River. Very unhappy with the service.

I got my wisdom teeth taken out by them and i got the WORST infection on my right side. *GRAFFIC* My cheek was the size of a tennis ball at least and it was full of nasty puss and i couldn't open my mouth to eat a *small* spoon of pudding. And now a few years later im still having problems with the right side of my jaw. It locks up, pops, i cant do much without pain nowadays. Its been a few years, i dont remember the doctos name but it was a guy.

Made an appointment to have multiple teeth pulled, after weeks of waiting they couldn't find a vain due to dehydration. I understand, it wasn't a big deal. They rescheduled me for 3 weeks later with a physical copy of the scheduling paper. Upon arrival I was told I had been reschedule once again, but this time it was without notice, for another 3 weeks ahead. I didn't recieve a text or a call ot even an email. Despite me giving them my physical form, I was told tough luck. The surgeon was booked for the appointment that was originally given to me, with physical proof. Multiple people had to change their plans; my husband had to take another day off, which he will now be unable to do again for me and my son took the day off from school. Now I have to go to the O.R. at the HOSPITAL, pay fees, and acquire paper work that was not needed before. All because they messed up. If you want a place that is reliable, I would NOT recommend coming here.
