Prescott Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics

Pay attention to negative reviews. There are only 2 dentists in the Prescott area covered by our insurance PMD and Prescott Valley Dental Group (PVDG) both under Smile Generation. PMD has a hygienist and PVDG has not been able to fill a hygienist position since COVID. Made an appt with PMD for exam/xrays but could not get a cleaning until August 2023. Went for exam/xrays and they charged a $50 co-pay for xrays. We have never been charged for xrays and they said the amount of xrays they do is not totally covered by insurance. First red flag. We have been getting regular cleanings 2x year for over 20 yrs. When the hygienist and dentist do the exam they tell me I need a deep cleaning and want to charge insurance over $1000 with my portion being over $300. I tell them I don't want a deep cleaning and they inform me that I have to follow their treatment plan and they will not do a regular cleaning. I call insurance and they inform me I should not do the deep cleaning if I am not in agreement. I canceled all other appt's with PMD. This past week I went to a dentist in Peoria, Az. and was able to schedule my exam and cleaning the same day. This dentist and hygienist are not in the Smile Generation network and they informed me I absolutely did NOT need a deep cleaning and they did not charge me for xrays. This confirmed my suspicion that PMD was trying to make money off the insurance doing unnecessary procedures. I will be filing a complaint with insurance.

Great dentist office with friendly staff and dentists.

I had an issue with my new temporary crown. After just 3 days it broke! I called the office and they got me in as soon as I could get there. Dr. Brown made sure the new crown was a good, secure fit. Office staff are very friendly and Darby the dental assistant tries very hard to make sure all is well. I still have more visits (oral surgeon and final permanent crown) before my treatment is completed, but I have confidence that it will all be good! 🤞

I love this office and dentists! Dr. Ervin Trilles is new at Prescott Modern Dentistry and he was fabulous. Easy to talk with and made me feel nice and calm through the entire appointment. He and Dr. Brown are absolutely terrific dentists. Dr. Brown bonded a broken tooth for me and the tooth is strong and beautiful. The color matches so well with my original tooth color. I had to get in as an emergency, and it was the same day I called that I got in. Can't ask for more. Michele

Everyone was very friendly, and when I called for an emergency appointment due to severe toochache they were able to get me from exam to crown is just about a week. These people go above and beyond and I can't recommend them enough.

I was very GRATEFUL the receptionist HONORED the initial exam and X-rays according to what I had been told!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I went to this Dental office for the first time this week. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Front desk helped me get checked in. She put me at ease, and was so helpful. Darby took impressions, and was so patient and nice. I have never in my 65 years of life met a Dentist like Dr. Brown. He was so compassionate, and thoroughly explained everything to me. He was so nice. I am so glad that I found this Dental practice. Thanks to all of you for making my first visit nice, and comfortable. I will definitely tell everybody I know how wonderful Dr Brown and his staff were. Thank you

BEWARE. I scheduled with the Call center for a new patient x-rays and cleaning. The day before I got a phone call telling me I was going to be receiving a limited new patient exam. Never did they tell me that would exclude me from getting my cleaning done since it's not a full exam, keep in mind I scheduled a full exam. After the receptionist made a scene in front of all the other patients in the lobby. I requested to speak to Dr. Brown he was so unprofessional and unrelenting that it was the call centers problem and he hates working with them . Now this is my problem left with no services rendered had to drive in a torrential downpour of rain wasted over 2 1/2 hours of time. Beware they are extremely unprofessional from front to back. Completely BEWARE1

Thank you to Dr Brown and his staff! From the folks up front, to his assistants and hygienist, they've always been so nice and thorough. They seem to deal with lots of unrestful customers as well, but they always handle them with grace and a mind towards customer service. Thanks for being such an awesome office!

Everyone I’ve encountered has been extremely friendly and competent. I had my wisdom teeth removed by their oral surgeon and he was super quick and efficient. Glad to have found an office full of people who know what they’re doing!

Had my cleaning done with the RDH and she was very friendly and explained what she was doing.

My experience was amazing! The front office was very friendly and helpful! The back off was the same! Over all I would recommend Dr brown and his team!

Front office staff are very friendly and they did go above and beyond when I let them know they are incorrectly billing me. It did take several phone calls to my Insurance company and this office, but we finally got the right amount that I needed to pay with Insurance. That's the reason for at least the two star rating. Back office left something to be desired. The Dental Assistant could have been friendlier. Personally I am not afraid of the Dentist, but there are some people who are and I feel she did not have a demeanor I would want if I didn't like the Dentist. The doctor was OK, but again his demeaner could have been a little more lively and welcoming. If you have anxiety about going to the Dentist this place is not for you, unless you want the front desk ladies working on you...they were the only personable ones I encountered while in this building. They will try to overcharge you, if you have Insurance make sure you call your Insurance to verify what your out of pocket amount will be.

I have never been so happy or comfortable at the dentist before! I was greeted by smiling faces from Brandi and Kaitlin who helped me understand my options and I ended up signing up for their in house plan. Darby did such a great job making my x-rays quick and comfortable and Lo got me settled in the room and explained everything. Dr Brown is so calm and kind, I felt at ease immediately. He reviewed my x-rays and recommended that we keep an eye on things, but that I didn't need anything now. Wow! I have never had an appointment where a dentist didn't try to sell me something. Kim did a thorough job on my cleaning a few months later and I just had to share how awesome my experience was from start to finish. I'm a retired healthcare worker and I know that feedback, especially positive feedback is so important. Give this office a try, you won't regret it.

Appointment booked 6 months in advanced, 4 days before the appointment was cancelled by office staff without reason. I was offered a new appointment date 2 weeks later. Sadly I was not thrilled with this and just started going to Aspen Dental instead. Aside from my little mishap I will still give this place a recommendation as said below in my past review. Happy dental hunting. My exam started out a little bumpy as the dentist assistant appeared to be having a bad day was the result was having my X-Rays redone over multiple times. The X-rays were very good and useful in the end though. On the second part of the visit I started a deep cleaning as I had plaque buildup under my gums. The cleaning went well and the hygienist took her time even though she was working about an hour an a half overtime to do the cleaning for me, which I much appreciated. I left the office happy with the results of the cleaning.

My dentist in Dewey couldn't see me for 2 more weeks, prescott modern saw me right away same day and I saved $421.00 with my ppo plan for extraction an abscessed tooth, the dentist that did procedure was very compassionate and told me everything step by step awesome dental group, I definitely switch over to Prescott Modern Dentistry today.
