I first met Dr. Oh at Palm View Dental in the San Gabriel Valley because my regular dentist was not available. After that visit, she became my regular dentist. I used to dislike going to the dentist, but Dr. Oh changed that for me. She’s very gentle and explains everything that she’s doing which eases your nerves. After Dr. Oh moved to the West Side, I begrudgingly saw a couple of different dentists at Palm View Dental, but it was just not the same experience. So even though the location of Avenue Dental is not convenient for me, it’s worth it! The hygienists are equally as great, and the support staff are always friendly and available to answer questions (especially those related to insurance benefits). When I had some odd tooth pain, Dr. Oh referred me to a root canal specialist. I hesitated getting a root canal so decided to wait a few months to see if the pain would lessen. During that time, Dr. Oh would occasionally check up on me and the pain even though the specialist would be the one performing the procedure. Fortunately, the pain went away and I didn’t have to go through with the root canal. I grind my teeth at night and was fitted for a custom night guard. They do this cool thing at Avenue Dental where they scan your teeth so you can see how your bite changes over time and they can assess whether my grinding worsens. Tip: bring your night guard to your cleanings and Dr. Oh can check whether adjustments are necessary. It’s also the little things that count, wiping off the spurts of water from my face, applying lip balm during the cleanings when my lips are chapped, the easy online patient forms, the reminder texts for appointments. Tip: park at the Westfield Century City mall. It’s a short walk over.

I am astonished this facility has 5 stars. Parking alone is minimum $20 for 40 minutes in their parking garage and parking outside requires permit with the exception of ~10 metered parking spaces. Upon visiting, I filled out my new patient form stating that I had reservations visiting the dentist. Upon finishing my cleaning Dr. Oh pulls up a photograph of a rotten tooth and does not explain that it is not my tooth but someone else's. My anxiety went through the roof and I had to stop her and ask what I was looking at. She states that it was a picture of what a cavity looks like, I guess for my reference. Regardless, she proceeded to tell me the filling I had done doesn't look to standard and I was shocked since I just had it done 3 months prior. She did not understand my confusion as a patient and I asked her to further clarify and she became visibly bothered that I was "questioning her judgement". Upon leaving her office I reached out to my previous dentist who completed the filing and he stated that he did not see any reason to correct the filling. I contacted Dr. Oh and explained my reservations to which she became unprofessional and condescending. I asked how it was possible to have had a filling recently done and have to get it replace so soon, which I still think is an honest concern. Dr. Oh's response was "If you ask me why you would need a new one if you had it done in December, I am not able to answer that question because I did not do that filling myself." I was expecting something along the lines of some dentists aren't meticulous as they should etc., etc. The day I chose to have the filling redone, Dr. Oh was very crass with me. She numbed me which went to the back of my throat and I asked if the could wash the numbing cream from my throat since I had a sensation I couldn't swallow. I knew from there that I was a bother to her. After 25 minutes she came over when I was totally numb unable to speak to confront me. She stated something along the lines of

This is the BEST place to go, especially if the dentist makes you anxious! Dr. Oh and her team are great - I have had bad dental experiences in the past at other places, and consequently was extremely anxious to go to the dentist and was so glad I found her. The whole team is so nice, supportive, and accommodated my needs. If you have anything holding you back from visiting the dentist, this is definitely the best place to go, as they are extremely gentle, caring, and generally just really nice with whatever work you might need done. Don’t hesitate to communicate your needs (I am sensitive about loud sounds, pain, and pretty much anything you might usually experience at the dentist) and they will help you have a great experience. I seriously never want to go to a different dentist again!! Thank you Dr. Oh & team!!!

I have never shared a review before but the staff and team here at Avenue Dental warrants a round of applause. As someone who has quite a bit of fear around dental visits, I can confidently say that interacting with the team at Avenue Dental has changed my whole view. They are all so kind and so understanding and the care and attention to detail that is taken by everyone is just wonderful.

I’ve been seeing Dr Oh for my dental care needs ever since I moved here in the US and so far every visit was truly exceptional. I just finished my Invisalign journey with Dr Oh and I must say it is one of the best decision I’ve ever made. I am so happy and confident with my smile now. It was overall a great experience. If you want straight teeth and healthier smile, Dr Oh is the best dentist and Invisalign provider in Los Angeles!

Best dentist office in the entire world. One would think this is hyperbole but I mean it! I've been to my fair share of dentists. Dr Oh and the entire staff are incredible and kind. The attention to detail, comfort, cleanliness, and technology is superb. Her office does it all. I had 5 hours of work done and even signed up for Invisalign I was so satisfied. I am a lifer and you should be too...

There are probably only a few medical professionals on this planet that are as meticulous as Dr. Oh, and she and her team operate the finest dental practice bar none.

Dr. Oh and her team at Avenue Dental are hands down the best dentist practice I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. The communication around each visit was superb and the team has a wonderful ability to listen, assess the dental situation and then recommend the best treatment options, backed up with detailed information. Dr. Oh is clearly passionate about her profession and it is evident in the way she handles her tools that she is extremely skilled, yet has a very gentle touch. For my husband, who has a deep rooted fear of dentistry, Avenue Dental has been life changing – after 25 years of not seeing a dentist, I convinced him to go, knowing he would be in the best hands possible. The team made him feel at ease and he has now been returning several times to restore his dental health.

This place is absolutely outstanding! Not just the service but clean and decorative place! First, I’d like to start by saying this office is following all of COVID practices. Safety and health is their priority. Amazed their high technology and systematically making the appointments and tracking all of the records of patients based on the internet through the website. The staff is very friendly and very welcoming. My overall experience was very pleasant and satisfying. Big PLUS! I’ve done my wisdom tooth extraction, cleaning, and now I even got Invisalign because I was so satisfied and happy with their services. Surprisingly the cleaning and extraction didn’t hurt or numbed! The teeth straightening completed much quicker than conventional braces and painless too. Dr. Oh continuously made sure that I am satisfied with the result which shows they truly care about the outcome of all their procedure. Dr. Oh took her time and answered thoroughly all of my questions and concerns. I felt she was truly honest and passionate/professional about her work and explained clearly what it needs to be done. I genuinely recommend them for all of your dental needs!!! Thank you, Dr. Oh, and your amazing team!

Dr. Oh and her staffs at Avenue Dental are not only amazing, they make you feel instantly at ease in their beautiful office in Century City. Unlike most dental offices, everything is well curated, quiet and streamlined with the most updated technology, it makes you feel like you're in a private dental spa. I trust Dr. Oh's gentle yet detailed work and so happy I switched, as she's already taken care of some major issues that went undetected at my previous dentist. Highly recommended if you're new to LA or looking for a really good reliable, dental professional to trust! She makes going to the dentist a whole new pleasant experience.

A+ customer service. I accidentally chipped off part of my tooth while most other dentists were closed. I emailed Dr Oh and she was nice enough to see me in special emergency hours. She showed me the X ray and explained to me exactly what happened and why. Then helped me resolve the problem quickly! I will be recommending her to all my friends in the West LA area. Thank you!

"Caring" : that is the word I would use for Dr. Oh and her staff. No one likes going to the dentist, right? But here, you are treated like one of the family. You're greeted with a smile right when you walk into the door. Everyone makes you feel comfortable. Dr Oh is up to date on the latest in the dentistry field. She is great. Make your teeth feel great and see Dr. Oh. Made my 6 month visit and had another great visit. I know, we're not suppose to like going to the dentist. I'm the same but at least if you're going to go you should go to one that makes you feel welcome. Today, I had one of the other dentist do my cleaning. Sorry, I forgot her name, I'm going to blame that on old age. Anyways, she was great and very personable. She went to the local college where I live so we had a city connection. After she was done, Dr. Oh came in and a did a quick check and away I go. If you're looking for a great dentist, I would suggest you trying out Dr. Oh.

Clinic was recommended to me by my boss. I wanted to get a second opinion so I visited the office. I was greeted by an extremely friendly staff before my check up with the doctor. The doctor herself was super friendly and showed signs of care. Her opinion was extremely helpful and honest, and I thank her for that. I would recommend this clinic to anyone wanting a good honest opinion with a great atmosphere of friendly staff!

This practice is by far the best and most professional office I’ve been to. Avenue dental is a nicely designed and clean office with advanced state of art technology and the most welcoming and caring staff. What makes them stand out among other dental offices is the amount of care and attention they give to each patient. Dr. Oh The hygienist, Joy, who did my routine cleaning spent time explaining the process thoroughly and was very informative. She spent more than 30 minutes on my teeth cleaning which is quite rare in most dental offices. Overall, she was very professional, caring, skillful and detail-oriented. Overall, Dr. Oh and the staff are the most compassionate and caring people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and I’m sure I’ll will be back in 6 months for my cleaning and exam again. Definitely recommended!!
