I am embarrassingly terrified of the dentist and they could not have been more kind about it. Every time I went in for anything from a normal cleaning to having a cavity filled, they were super nice and understanding when I was having a quiet breakdown in the chair lol.

Been coming to this dentist for years. Inget my teeth cleaned every quarter! Hands down best dentist office. Super clean, Super friendly and Love their crew!!

The individuals in the office are friendly and efficient, however, I went in for a general cleaning and they suggested Invisalign. As it was something I was already considering, I heard about what they had to say. They pushed me into a 3 year contract, saying that my teeth would easily take that long. I am now 12 weeks into Invisalign and my teeth are straight. When you go to a dentist you expect them to suggest the best thing for your health and not for their pocketbooks. I feel completely scammed.

The staff here was amazing! I enjoyed the customer care and appreciation from the whole team (Susie, Dr. McCall, Priam, Dr. Rizk - hope I spelled everyone’s name correctly!). My cleaning and check up went smoothly from start to finish. 100/10 would definitely recommend

I recently moved to Los Angeles from WA State and was overwhelmed with finding a new dentist office. I chose Downtown Dental base off the reviews and they definitely lived up to my expectations. Dr. Tara is amazing! She is personable, friendly, and knows her ish about teeth lol. She definitely made me feel welcomed and understood all my concerns. Every staff member I have encountered has been so nice and caring.

what an amazing experience! I was never a fan of going to the dentist, just went for a cleaning maybe every two years, but decided to go to downtown dental since it was close to work and WOW! the staff was friendly and nice. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by passion who made my life easy. she was fantastic all the paperwork was done digitally (maybe it's been that long since I've seen a dentist) I was taken to my room where Lali took all my x-rays and did a cool 3d scan of my teeth. she was great too made my x-ray experience easy and fun. then I waited for my dentist who was Tara I was nervous at first but let me tell you I'm coming back every 3 months for a cleaning. The first dentist I have had that I was comfortable with and took the time to go over my x-rays and explain where and why I need fillings and most importantly she showed me why I need Invisalign. SHE WAS FANTASTIC! on my way out I was introduced to Priyam for my billing, and she saved the day, she had already looked up my insurance and attached it to my account. I enjoyed my dental experience, I highly recommend Downtown Dental, thank you guys for an amazing experience!

- I was asked to pay before any services rendered. They say they take all PPO insurance, but they charge you the full amount and say your insurance will send you a check. Online they say they have a $99 new client special, but they still charged me $199 (non of this was explained before I entered their facility) - I interacted with 5 different techs, all very kind and nice, but it was all a distraction - my teeth cleaning only lasted 15 minutes - I came in to get a new night gaurd but the dentist and dental hygienist spent a great deal of time trying to pitch me on a $5800 Invisalign system, I left without any information about the night guard or even if I had any cavities. It felt like a scam. I had never interacted with these people before and the main impression I had is that they wanted my money. - they do not have your best interest at heart, they just want to upsell you - extremely disappointed

I needed to have my braces removed in a pinch because the incompetent orthodontist I was seeing installed them wrong. The wires were cutting into the side of my mouth and causing me a lot of pain and sores.

I made an appointment for tooth extraction with Orthodontist's letter with this place and they refused to extract my teeth even though I have a letter from a doctor. Instead they were trying to sell me their service for Invisalign even though I am in the process with another place and I already have braces. They tried so hard to sell their service while I am just there for tooth extraction. They didn't do anything to my teeth and charged me $99 for the visit. Just a joke!

Everyone that works here makes going to the dentist that much easier. Kind, compassionate, quick, communicative, and efficient as hell, these folks make the whole experience enjoyable. Highly recommend.

They were able to schedule me for an appointment right away, which I really appreciated. Pria the dental assistant was very warm and welcoming. The Dentist was rather impersonal - I prefer someone more engaging. I went here because I wanted 2 fillings done since my normal dentist is on an extended vacation. My regular dentist quoted me $110 after insurance for the fillings. Downtown Dental refused to do my back filling without a crown, and quoted me around $1,400 after insurance. They did do a panoramic X-ray and found an additional cavity my normal dentist didn't find (I'm eager to get his second opinion). It seems like they offer top of the line care, but it's definitely not practical for all.

Like everyone, the dentist isn’t always the best experience. But this group of people have been nothing short of professional, kind and empathetic. Location is everything to me as well and so happy they’re back downtown. If I could give them 10 stars I would! Priyam is the best!!!!

Staff was very friendly and the location was clean. However, I was disappointed because I made my appointment and provided my insurance information 2 weeks before my appointment. Today I showed up and provided my insurance information again… they began doing work and X-rays then came in to let me know they operate out of network … they still charged me $160 bc they did X-rays … that I wouldn’t have agreed to if they had informed me that they aren’t working with my insurance. They wasted my time and made me pay for something I shouldn’t have had to pay due to their lack of transparency.

I was a patient here from 2019 to 2021 before I moved out of LA. Most of the cleaning visits were fine. However, anyone who goes here should be aware that they may try to force Invisalign on you. My previous dentist in a different state offered Invisalign, but they never mentioned it to me. In fact, they often mentioned that my teeth were in good shape in terms of alignment. However, on my first visit to Downtown Dental in LA, I had x-rays taken, and upon inspection, the dentist told me that I needed Invisalign due to the poor alignment in my back teeth. I was a student at the time and didn't have a steady enough income stream to consider it, so I told them that I would hold off. Next time I go in, they tell me that they "found a discount" on Invisalign, even though they knew that I was still a student and still didn't have the income stream to afford it. On a later visit, I had a different dentist, who proceeded to provide me with a completely different reason for needing Invisalign, wholly unrelated to the reason the initial dentist provided. So, it seemed that they were ultimately trying to pull a fast one on me as a patient because, I assume, they have a financial incentive to sign up as many patients as possible for Invisalign. This was ultimately confirmed after I moved and made my first visit to a dentist in my new location. I asked them whether Invisalign was necessary, and she and the hygienist both said that there was absolutely no need and were shocked that anyone would suggest it in the first place. So, if you are going to go to Downtown Dental, beware that they might use coercive settings and tactics to force Invisalign on you. If they do, strongly consider getting a second opinion.
