I would give them 0 star if Google allows me. The treatment was good, however the billing department has been terribly unprofessional. My 3 visits for treatments were done in the last two months of 2021. Since then, I have emailed and called the office more 30 times to ask if could please update my claims to the insurance because they were either filed with mismatched information or denied by my insurance because they failed to renewal their license with my insurance as a “in network” provider which resulted as a “out of network” provider with the least benefits. No one seemed to care about answering my calls or email with some follow ups or at least a plan to do moving forward. I have to go to the office myself once to demand for an answer by the office manager, no further updates whatsoever. Called insurance a number of times, but we’re told only the dental office would manage the communication with the insurance regarding the claim. It’s been more than a year now since this process has been happening and the last time they updated my info with my insurance was half a year ago.

My experience at Pearlique was by far and away the best experience I’ve ever had at the dentist. The doctor took her time with me, explaining everything she was doing and checking in with me along the way. The office is very clean and cozy, with large windows in each exam room. Peter at the front desk was super helpful when it came to discussing cost estimates for future dental work and scheduling. Just a really solid team, kind people, please book your appointment ASAP! You won’t regret it!

I am very happy to find a great dentist in the area! I haven't had the time to go to the dentist for awhile ( don't judge me! ) so I was trying to find one that would be conveniently located. I live close to DTLA and was suggested this location by a friend. I was able to make an appt conveniently through an online system and received confirmation immediately. Turns out the normal office was undergoing repair so they're temporarily displaced to a different location in downtown. I was able to get a very affordable parking spot via SpotHero but I was also offered a rideshare service if necessary! I was seen promptly and most importantly was educated on my dental health which I really hadn't experienced in the past. I didn't feel pressured into any services. I opted to do teeth whitening since I've been drinking a lot of coffee lately and that went well too. I'd definitely recommend this place to my friends and plan on coming back.

DO NOT GO!!! I paid $1300 for a crown and they did a TERRIBLE job. They had a novice do it who took 3x as long and didn’t numb me right or put it on right. I was in excruciating pain during the procedure and for 2 months after. They claimed to have sent me a pain prescription and it never arrived at the pharmacy. They admitted they probably put my crown on wrong but would not answer my queries to get a referral or a reimbursement. I contacted them for weeks and they just said “we’ll get back to you” without ever addressing the issue. UPDATE: I went to another dentist months later because it was still bothering me and they confirmed Pearlique had put the crown in wrong and left my nerve exposed. I have called Pearlique and emailed them repeatedly and still can't get them to answer me.

I moved to DTLA during the pandemic, and like many of us, I hadn’t seen a doctor in over 2 years due to covid. I was nervous about going to the dentist but everyone was extremely nice and my cleaning was painless. I did not catch the doctors name and I want to make sure I get it right so I will ask during my next check-in. However, she is young and highly knowledgeable! I’m grateful that she told me to stop using charcoal on my teeth because I was having a reaction to it and didn’t even realize it. I’m looking forward to going back. Never thought I would say that. Lol

Dec 2021 - Review Update: We discussed doing another service at the time of my initial visit and completed the necessary prep work to move forward. I requested that my insurance be contacted to figure out what if any they would cover. I was told Pearlique would get back with me. They never did. I have called multiple times to follow up on this with no response. I think follow up and how a company handles your case when you are not in front of them is just as important as customer service when present. I have decreased my star rating because of this. Original Review: OCT 2021 Great experience and comfortable environment. I provided my insurance prior to visit and did not have any delays on the day of. Dr. Amy did my actual cleaning!! I CAN'T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME THE DENTIST DID MY ACTUAL CLEANING!! I SOO APPRECIATE IT! The attention to detail was phenomenal. Felt like a new person! Had a bad experience last year at a different office. Wish I had found Pearlique sooner. Thank you Dr. Amy and Pearlique!

i called for an emergency appointment and was able to see someone the same day. pauline, who was very helpful and dr. jennifer was very easy to talk to and put me at ease. i, unfortunately, didn’t get the name of the persn who took my xrays was also very helpful. i have a follow up appointment and will likely have some more work to be done after that so i am glad i found an office i feel comfortable at.
