Wakamatsu & Wakamatsu

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Tod and Dr. Robin for about a decade now and we adore them!!! They are efficient and professional. Not the cheapest option out there, but they will cut a small break sometimes if you don't have insurance (as we don't). They validate parking for an hour or so , it might cost a little but it's helpful. Front desk staff very no nonsense.

My husband and I LOVE Dr. Kristen Watanabe! We’ve been going to her for nearly 8 years now and she’s done a fantastic job on any needed dental work. I personally hate going to the dentist, the sounds and sensations causes me to have high anxiety, however, Dr. Watanabe is gentle and is good at keeping your mind off the work being done. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and professional dentist.

I've been going to this dental office for 50 years (!) First with Dr Harold , now with Dr Tod (son). Now retired, I have the option of getting coverage under medicare but I opted to pay out of pocket to stay with this office. I don't want to take a chance anywhere else with my well cared for teeth.

An EXCELLENT FAMILY EXPERIENCE. My wife, two kids and I recently had a teeth cleaning and have been going to Dr. Keith and Dr. Kristen for a few years now. I’m just sad that I hadn’t written a glowing review earlier. I took it for granted and assumed that others would. From top to bottom you can tell that this is a loving, family oriented operation. Each member, from the receptionist to the hygienists to the dentist all bring a warmth to an already anxiety inducing situation. They bring you into their family and treat you with as much compassion and dignity as anyone could hope for while digging around your mouth. This is an amazing establishment and I hope people keep this local business alive. I know the teeth of my family are in safe hands with the Watanabes for years to come.

BEST DENTIST EVER! I have been going to see Dr. Tod Wakamatsu since 2003, after a co-worker recommended him very highly. Of all the dentists I have seen in my life Dr. Wakamatsu is by far the best! In addition to being very talented at his job, Dr. Wakamatsu is quite friendly & personable. He really puts you at ease, which is helpful if you have anxiety about going to the dentist as I do. Dr. Wakamatsu has the most gentle touch of any dentist I have ever experienced, and he gets the job done quickly and efficiently, saving you from any unnecessary pain and anguish. He always applies a local anesthetic before giving you any shots (if needed), and he is so good at administering the shots that you hardly even feel them at all! I usually have to ask him, "Did you give me the shot yet?" and am always surprised to find out that he already did! I had to have a couple of wisdom teeth extracted ten+ years ago, and Dr. Wakamatsu did an excellent job, despite it being a very difficult procedure due to the fact that the teeth were impacted, and the roots were deeply embedded in my jawbone. He also did a great job doing a professional "teeth whitening" for me, including making some custom bleaching tray molds for me to take home, so I could occasionally do some "touch up work" from home as needed. I then moved away from LA for almost 10 years, and during that time I never found another dentist that could hold a candle to Dr. Wakamatsu's skill and talent as a dentist. Now I am finally back in the LA area, and am SO thrilled to finally be a patient of Dr. Wakamatsu's again! He has even gone back and fixed some of the mistakes made by some of my previous dentists. I had one difficult filling in particular that had to be re-done 3 times by another dentist (each time taking over 4 hours), that recently fell out YET AGAIN, and Dr. Wakamatsu was able to PROPERLY replace that filling for the first time, in under an hour!
