everyone i met in the office (pati at front office, arthur assisting, and dr. solomon) during my 1st appointment were friendly, personable, and non-anxiety producing. the office was clean and modern. the x-rays, picture taking, exam, and cleaning were thorough. this was my 1st dentist appointment in several years due to the pandemic and my first attempt at testing out an oakland-based dentist after having the same dentist office in SF since 1991. i appreciate that dr. solomon's office continues to practice COVID19 safety protocols. in my search for a dentist in oakland, i intentionally searched for a black woman. dr. solomon fit the bill, but even better, i am happy to say i liked her and her staff and now have a new oakland-based dentist.

I am disabled and use a power chair. I learned of NextGen Dentistry from a friend who is also chair bound. I asked if she knew of a dentist who could accommodate my situation. And, yes, the office is very accommodating. They are able to do cleaning, examine my teeth and take x-rays while I stay in my power chair. (Mine tilts back, which helps) Dr. Solomon and staff are friendly I am happy to have found them.

A strange visit starting with polishing? Should that not be done at the end? Then a seeming rush through cleaning that was a bit uncomfortable at times. I was given a referral to a specialist but the explanation was not clear and i still wonder why it would be needed.

Dr. Solomon is the best dentist you could ever hope for. She is professional, meticulous, and caring. Treatment plans are on point and reasonably priced. Never have to worry about being overcharged or prescribed unnecessary procedures - which some dentists in the Bay Area do.
