Dr. Paul R. Moon, DDS

Dr. Moon has been my dentist since 1977 when his office was on Rio St. I like Paul very much, he has a great sense of humor and is very easy to talk with. He explains things in an excellent way. The whole staff has been top notch from 1977 - to the present. I have no complaints whatsoever!!

I love Dr. Moon! The whole staff is great. Cindy his wife and receptionist is always so sweet and quick to get you seen. Dr. Moon is amazing at what he does, I've never felt any pain or discomfort not one time (And I'm a big baby at the dentist). I'm always entertained and trying not to laugh listening to him and his assistant Chelsea, joke with each other. I actually find myself enjoying going to the dentist now. Plus he has back massager in his chairs lol. Phenomenal dentist!

Traveling through with family and one of my braces brackets had come loose cutting my mouth up. Stopped in Sausalito and the orthodonist wanted to charge me 100 dollars to cut it taking about 5 seconds. Dr. Moon graciously worked me in and got me on my way within a few minutes. Staff and office were great. Can really tell people who love what they do and have kindness in their hearts. Wish that I lived in Red Bluff. Would send everyone that I know. Hope the Google review points a few folks their way. Thank you again!

This dentist is AWESOME!!!! My husband and I have been lucky enough to have transitioned to his practice and we are both GRATEFUL! DR. Moon and his staff are distinguished and professional, but more importantly they genuinely value their patients dental health . My husband and I have experienced dental emergencies and each time this office went out of their way to make sure we were seen the SAME DAY of the emergency!!! Old fashioned ethics and a CARING attitude makes all the difference in the world!

I have been a happy patient of Dr.Moon's since first moving to Red Bluff in 2003. He is personable, caring, extremely knowledgeable and comforting. His staff are fantastic as well. His office is well equipped and also has the latest software upgrades so that your xrays are visible in mere seconds. His dental technicians Shannon & Mary are exemplary at their positions. They work in tandem with Dr.Moon so skillfully it puts the patient at ease & you're relaxed in the deep comfortable chairs. I've had no issues with pain or deep pinching when shots are administered, whereas the same cannot be said for many other dental practitioners. Dr.Moon is skillful and very careful even as he numbs your mouth, he's so good at giving novacaine injections, you don't feel a thing. There's no tension in the office, everyone is super nice & they all have a great sense of humor. The front office is staffed by his loverly ,bright wife Cindy. She handles the scheduling with great ease. More than afew times she has gotten me an appointment when none were available. She navigates scheduling with great aplomb & a keen sense of taking great care of me as a patient. I recommend him very highly. If there were 10 stars, I'd award him that! Also, it's worth noting that if there is a procedure he cannot do, he has a wonderful dental surgeon he refers patients to in Redding, Dr. Mark Cox who is really top of the line for dental surgery.

I have been going to Dr. Moon for quite awhile now. He and his staff have been very friendly and always professional. I have had teeth cleaning, caps, fillings, root canals by Dr. Moon. NEVER have I felt rushed, or have they treated me as just money in their pocket. They always take the time to explain the reasons, and/or why a procedure would be needed. In fact he has gone above and beyond what should be expected of a Dentist. I have seen how he treats others that come into his dentistry office, whether they are new customers, young people, old people, woman, or man, and I feel he has no prejudice towards anyone. So to sum up my post...I would refer Dr. Moon, and his staff to anyone that would need a friendly, professional Dentistry Office.

Though I do not live in the Red Bluff area, Dr. Moon came highly recommended as I was in search of a new dentist. My initial visit went very well including x-rays, exam, and a discussion about how to address my immediate dental issues. I had not seen a dentist in a long time and needed several fillings. Dr. Moons sense of humor and friendliness of his staff made me feel that I was in the right place. His office is very kid friendly, which was great being that I brought my two year old. Over the next few months I saw him several times and had all of my problems fixed. I would recommend him to everyone I know. He was interested in my goals concerning my smile. Thank You Dr. Moon and your staff for my beautiful smile, I couldn't have done it without you guys!!!

I just had the worst experience I have ever had in a dental practice. It was right up there with the many reasons people fear and hate dentists. I approached the visit with only mild anxiety, having only recently had an unexpected tooth extraction that went well. There was no prior full description for what would be done during that second visit. I simply wasn’t prepared for what took place. The dental x-rays were so painful that it was like reacting to an assault, trying to ward of severe pain. I felt demoralized, humiliated and violated. That is how I ‘felt!!!’ I was told in an accusatory tone that I had a small mouth, my tongue was in the way, and I was very sensitive, really!? Blaming the patient is a convenient defense. The onslaught was so painful and unexpected that I cried when it was finally over and I was left in the room alone. I was unprepared for my emotional response. I have never cried in a dental office (or a doctor’s office) and this after many years of x-rays, periodontal probes, tooth cleanings, fillings, crowns, etc. I was hurt, not only physically but emotionally. X-rays were followed by an unannounced periodontal probe as I was thrust into a prone position. Experts describe the procedure as requiring a slow, gentle approach. This was anything but, it was rapid and aggressive and very painful. It is hard to stop thinking about what I was subjected to. There are good dentists and good doctors who take seriously their role in mitigating or completely relieving pain, but some do not; just being a ‘good mechanic’ is not enough. I will continue my search for a caring competent dentist that can measure up to the exceptional care I have had in the past. If you are a patient who has had a good experience(s), then you are fortunate. This dentists is not too distant from my age, so I suspect retirement may not be too far off.
