Dr. Eric R. Waits, DMD

I liked going to this dentist until they no longer accepted my insurance, BUT did not tell me that fact until the appointment was completed. I am now having to pay a bill for Out of Network fees. I will not go back to this office because of their "delay" in telling me about the insurance. I do feel it was on purpose and they should be ashamed if that is normal practice.

Dr Waits and every single member of his staff are some of the nicest people I know! I was a person who avoided and dreaded going to the dentist because of past experiences. However, after going to Dr Waits for over 15 years now I don’t dread it at all! He is very thoughtful, listens to my concerns, and is sensitive to my reactions during procedures. I just love his staff and look forward to seeing them each time. My husband, mother, and two daughters all see Dr. Waits now. I highly recommend Dr. Waits and his staff!!

Used to hate going to the dentist. No more. Dr. Waits and his hygienists have me on a schedule of regular cleanings and exams. Couldn’t be happier. No pain. No dread. No anxiety.

Obviously no one likes going to the dentist, but I’ve always had a great experience with Dr. Waits and his staff. I’d recommend him to everyone.

I had to get my top wisdom teeth pulled today, one being a cavity. I have been in so much pain it was almost unbearable. I went to see Dr. Eric R. Waits & he took real good care of me! He is very friendly & professional! So is his staff! They we're all very informative & professional! I highly recommend Dr. Eric waits to anyone!

The absolute worst experiences ever. To begin with, I had a cavity that was causing me pain for about 18 months that Dr. Waits apparently never diagnosed. When he finally did, he filled it with silver/mercury. Does anyone in the country even use this toxic material anymore? When I found out, after the damage was done, he stated it was the only material he could us in that location in my mouth. What a crock! After being told for about 3 years that I needed a crown for a cracked tooth (that was asymptomatic), I finally relented, only to have his assistant damage my gum and expose the nerve from repeatedly jamming the crown on my tooth. I had him check this on 3 separate occasions after the crown was put on, due to continuing discomfort, and he never diagnosed the problem, but just told me it would take time. It took another dentist to find the damage and months of treatment to save the tooth. I'm mad at myself for permitting this quack to touch my mouth more than once. Never again!

Always plesant. Always professional. I have been going here for over 10 years qnd while I can't say I enjoy it, I don't dread it.

I only had a cleaning today, but Dr Waits has previously done two crowns for me and does excellent work at a fair price. His hygienists and assistants are informative and friendly and the office is clean. I would recommend him to anyone.

Thanks to the bad reviews!!! I will go somewhere else. If someone practices dishonesty at the expense of patience, I would hope their business FAILS!!

My crown only lasted 2 years. I was told there was nothing that could be done to defer the cost of a new crown, as insurance will not pay for another crown unless it was put on within 5 years. You may want shop around.

Absolutely terrible experience with dr wait and his staff. I moved to Redding 6 years ago and have always gone back to the dentist in my hometown for cleanings and check ups. I called dr waits office to set up an appointment to get two fillings done because they were causing me minor discomfort. "No problem we can take care of that for you" the receptionist said, "just bring your most recent x rays!" I waited three weeks, and blocked off the afternoon for my scheduled appointment fully expecting to have the cavities filled that day. When I get there, I was told that I have 9 cavities (not true) and that I'll need to come back in three weeks for a cleaning and X-rays before I can get a filling. I just had X-rays and a cleaning done 4 months ago!! A 15 minute check up was all I received. I immediately called the dentist in my home town, to which he informed me I did not have 9 cavities and that dr wait was trying to bill my insurance for all he could! This is bad business practice and I will never be returning. I also missed work that afternoon because you guys wasted my time and did not communicate with me. I don't have time to do buiness with people who don't value my time. Look elsewhere if your looking for an honest dentist!
