Every single time I come to The Tender Dentist, I always leave with such a big smile on my face. Dawn at the front is so sweet and she always makes you feel welcomed into their office. I tend to get anxious whenever I need to go to the dentist, but Dr. Rostamian & his staff make the experience extremely comfortable and help ease away any anxiety! I had a bad cavity that I didn’t fix for a couple of years so Dr. Rostamian suggested an onlay instead of a filling to help preserve my natural tooth as much as possible and strengthen it as well. The procedure was quick and most importantly, painless! I always recommend The Tender Dentist to everyone because they provide such genuine dental care. I can’t explain how grateful I am to have Dr. Rostamian and his staff for all my dental needs!!

Dr. Shahen is a great dentist. Really knows his stuff. I had some major work done on my teeth and I highly recommend.

Dr. R was the best. I had a broken tooth that was very painful. He rushed me in next day and took care of it with absolutely no pain. It was a great experience having a root canal and final crown in one visit.

Dr. R is an outstanding dentist! He’s welcoming, professional, highly skilled, honest, extremely thorough, gentle and kind. He takes the time to patiently answer all my questions and offer insight to his procedures; he even clarifies my xrays so I know whatever I’m viewing. I’ve always left Dr. R’s office feeling well informed, cared for and my teeth in great condition. His staff is also fantastic! They’re friendly, transparent and accommodating. Even more specifically, Dr. R’s front desk staff has kindly gone over billing with me and secured appointments that worked with my travel schedule. I’ll literally book a flight to have all my dental work done at Tender Dentist! Dr. R and his staff are truly the best; an exemplary team.

Dr. Rostamian is the GOAT!

Best first appointment with a dentist ever and I’ve been to a lot! I’m always so fearful of the dentist and stressed out to go. That is the main reason I chose to make an appointment with Dr. Rostamian. Also know as The Tender Dentist. To my very pleasant surprise he was also more knowledgeable than any dentist I’ve been to before, and really explained everything in such detail so I could clearly understand. Dawn at the front is amazing, and so was the tech (wish I remembered his name) who took X-rays. Can’t say I’m excited to go to the dentist now, but I’m not scared and I feel very confidant and comfortable that I’m getting the very best care which is at least half the battle. Very grateful to have found them and highly recommend!

So happy I found the tender dentist. I’ve had many dentists over the last 40 years and Dr Rostamian (and his team) are the best.

The dentist is man who is truly mindful of his craft and talks to you authentically about what actions you should take to keep your teeth healthy without trying to pressure you into anything, I always informed and great full after my visits.

The dentist is super rude! I had an appointment and could not remember my time. I called in the morning at 8:30am and went to a 3rd party answering service. I left a message and got a text message saying "if I scrolled up on a text, I could have seen my time". I called back several times and the phone kept on ringing until the dentist picked up himself and rushed me off the phone without addressing my concerns and was super rude. We are HUMAN and do tend to forget "Dr" but that does not give you the right to treat your patients the way you treated me! There are plenty of dentists out there who are not jerks and will treat their patients with respect.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I am shocked how GOOD the experience was at the Tender dentist office! Modern communication with patients over text ! Dawn ( the assistant) walked through the process, gave me price quote , and got my X-rays from another dentist I decided not to fix my tooth with ! Eric the dentist was good , fast , gentle and kind ! Did not to oversell any service and did exactly what I asked for ( with Reccomended future steps) And !! They changed me 1/3 of the initial price quote!! Because my fix was “ easier then they assumed “!! I waited 3 months to leave the review bc I wanted to make sure my filling is good - it’s great!!!! Be back if I need any service any other time . PS I made sure to write down their names during my appointment- because they deserve so much praise!!

He is the most compassionate dentist ever. My disabled nephew was very anxious going in, he was immediately put at ease and will continue going to this dentist.

Wonderful and attentive service and dental care.

Came in for a "1 day crown", didn't even know it was possible in one day. Got the treated in about an hour and here I am the day after and I feel better than ever. I highly reccomend this dentist. My girlfriend and I love it here. I've been going here for about 2 1/2 years or so and have never had any bad experience at all. 10 stars

Don is so awesome, the staff here are extremely caring. DR.R is very genuine and patient, and puts alot of timing into explaining options and expectations of the varied procedures. 10/10. Im no longer afraid of the dentist. They got me in immediately after my primary Dr. turned me away. So grateful

Just moved to the area (Calabasas) and spent some time researching dentists in the area as I was due for a routine teeth cleaning. I saw all of the great reviews for The Tender Dentist and decided to give them a shot. To get to the point -- I'm very glad that I did! The office staff was friendly & professional in scheduling via txt. I received txt reminders leading up the appointment date. During my visit they used a low-radiation device for my XRays and his staff was very friendly and professional. Anna their hygienist was was super knowledgeable, patient with all of my questions, and didn't me feel like she was rushing my cleaning (have had that experience at other dental offices in the past). Fortunately I didn't have any issues with my teeth, but I still met Dr. Rostamian at the end to discuss my experience and two things stood out to me -- you can tell this guy is very knowledgeable and he clearly loves his job. Really glad I found these guys and feel confident they'll take good care of me if any dental issues arise in the future.

This was my first experience with this dentist. I had broken a rear molar a few days ago with a mercury filling and my dentist was not available. So I decided to go and drive to The Tender Dentist and give him a try. I had an 8:30 AM appointment and within a few hours I had my permanent crown in place. This is my third crown and this one feels like the perfect fit on the first visit. Amazing! The staff were professional and kind. They did everything they could to make my appointment as enjoyable as possible. Special shout out to Mirna and Brianna. Pain management was excellent as I have a few very sensitive teeth. Dr. Rostamian was patient and worked to help relieve my pain. He was constantly speaking to me to judge any discomfort and doing all he could to alleviate it. As his business is called 'The Tender Dentist' you can imagine this is of importance to him and it showed. Mercury gas management was also excellent using gas vacuum to reduce mercury vapor inhalation during removal of my old filling. In fact Dr. Rostamian prefers never to use a mercury amalgam to fill cavities and uses alternate filling material that is non-toxic. He would even have me hold my breath for a moment when the procedure would cause a possible exposure. I had a full set of x-rays using his new equipment that reduces exposure to about 5% of what I was using before. The assistants did not ever have to leave the room during exposures. The digital images were promptly displayed on a large screen in front of me. The equipment all seemed to be state-of-the-art or nearly so. The fun part was watching my crown be created right in front of my eyes. That was amazing to watch. The real attribute that I saw in Dr. Rostamian's work was his experience with his equipment. This means much more than the equipment itself. If you have a high tech piece of equipment, but don't have the experience to use it properly then you will have a sub-par result.
