We started with Dr. Royal years ago and we loved the place. He has since retired and sold the business to someone else. We have since found another dentist. The office and staff are fine, there was a bit of a problem with scheduling and communication. But the hygienist I saw there was fairly brutal. Teeth cleaning seemed a bit ham-handed and rough. On top of that, she tried to scare me into a deep cleaning procedure (with more frequent regular visits that were NOT covered by insurance) that I apparently did not need. Another time I had a minor repair on a tooth, only to find out later (at my new dentist) that the dentist here had scraped away some of the enamel on adjacent teeth, which could cause some issues later down the road. I didn't have a good feeling about this place after Dr. Royal left, and unless the practice turns around in a major way, I would suggest finding another dentist office.

This is nothing I pride myself on, but I have had a lot of work done on my teeth and a lot of cavities filled in my 23 years. I’ve had 5 filled at one time somewhere else and it was no where near this traumatic. The actual dentist was not very involved, he did the shots and the drilling, but the dental assistants did everything else. My face was numb at the time but they absolutely mangled my mouth. It was extremely rushed and I was very sore afterwards. Afterwards I noticed the tops of my molars were drilled in tooh high so it hurt to chew and floss, a lot of places started to chip, and my bite was off! When I went back to have it fixed they said I needed a night guard as well for grinding my teeth. The same dental assistants filled my teeth again and messed up the impression, so weeks later when I went to try it on it didn’t fit and they had to do it again. So that means I went in twice to have them fill/fix my teeth, and that’s not counting the time I went in and they were too understaffed to do my appointment, or when I had to go in a final time to have the night guard fitted. Looking at it now I have more places for cavities to form, the fillings don’t match my teeth whatsoever, and my bite is still off which is causing more problems with my jaw. When I told them I didn’t want to go there anymore, due to the fact that they messed up my teeth so bad, the receptionist just said to let them know when I find a new dentist so they can send the records over... not even acknowledging what I had just said. So if I could give less than one star I would. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to the dentist a lot!

This is by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I am new to the area and broke 3 teeth. I was super nervous about having them fixed and all of the staff were AMAZING. They got me in within a few days and accommodated my request to do the exam and fix the teeth the same day. The dentist and the technicians fully explained every step and worked really hard to keep my anxiety low. When my jaw got fatigued from keeping my mouth open for so long the dentist immediately recognized it and paused to help me stretch and release my jaw. I was blown away by the empathy and professionalism shown by every single employee and would give them 15 out of 10 stars!
