Durango Family Dentistry

All of the staff is very kind and professional. I got right in for my appointment and Dr Ryan and assistant were wonderful. I came in a little anxious but they did a beautiful job……very smooth, caring and efficient. I highly recommend them. I was at another dentist in Durango and left. Grateful I did.

Another great experience today With Dr. Whitman and staff, truly everyone from front to back is on point! I have frequently needed fillings on teeth and they always make these painless and quick, two fillings today in a friendly atmosphere In 35minutes! Patients for 2 years.

I've been a patient here for 5 years. Everyone in this office is pleasant and professional, from the front desk (Janice is wonderful to work with and always so nice), to the hygienists and Dr. Whitman himself. Jessie is my go-to hygienist, she's fantastic, but I've also seen Annah and Danielle and they are wonderful as well. Great office!

I love this dentist. And his hygienist Danielle is superb. We live in three different places, Seattle Scottsdale and here. I feel I get a more thorough exam and cleaning here than any of my other dentists. Durango's lucky to have them.

My dentist was out of town,these guys squeezed me in took care of everything everybody was really nice.

I needed a cavity filled. I was impressed: 20 minutes and I was done. No pain. Ryan and staff are outstanding!

I’ve been going to Dr. Whitman for over five years. I’ve never had a bad experience. I actually enjoy going, as I’ve always feared most dentists. He has fixed chips in my front teeth and made them beautiful. They get you in as soon as possible for urgent appointments. Danielle is our favorite hygienist. She is gentle and a wealth of knowledge.

I switched to here from another dentist and am so glad I did. The whole team here is fantastic. Dr. Whitman, Jessie, Anna, the front desk staff - all exceptionally helpful and professional.

Great dentist. The covid precautions made me feel very safe & I felt as comfortable as one can be at the dentist. The dr got me in & out fairly quickly & did a great job on my teeth.

This past month I’ve had multiple appointments to get work done. My experience with everything has been great! Dr. Whitman did great with extractions and cavities, while Anna was awesome with the cleanings. The insurance I have works with Durango Family Dentistry which is nice. After being terrified of dental work prior to Dr. Whitman, I highly recommend Durango Family Dentistry. Very pleased and thankful, while getting comfortable with dental visits.

I love the friendly and helpful staff. I've had my night guard for 2 days and I am actually enjoying it. It fits perfect and I'm tempted to wear it all day.

Got my 2 back teeth pulled today from Dr. Whitman, he was phenomenal!! Was seen yesterday for x-rays and wasnt supposed to be seen for a week (which was fine) but my insurance is over tomorrow so he worked with me to get me in ASAP and didnt try to force work on me (that i know i need but not necessary at the moment)... Definately coming back and definately recommend!!

Dentist did not ask before doing work on my child. Then charged much more than other dentists in town. (I called around and asked them for the same procedural codes and charges.) We have changed dentists and the office will not transfer files until we pay the bill for the charges I did not authorize. Wouldn't recommend.

Every time I've come in, I've been given the run around for appointments, including appointment wait times longer than 3 months. I had an appointment I made in May (it's now August) and a last minute scheduling issue came up and I needed to reschedule, and I was told the next appointment was in December. The receptionists are sometimes polite but I've also experienced some extreme rudeness. The actual dental work was okay, but a bit brutal, leaving me with bleeding gums and the excuse of "you don't floss" which I do, religiously once a day. My teeth were spotless which is why there are 2 stars instead of 1.

Posting this because I hope the people in charge read it and do something about it. I am a new patient looking for a dentist. I called at 7:45 am, and was immediately put on hold for 5 minutes. Ok, I can handle that. Then the receptionist picks up, and I tell her I'd like to schedule an appointment. She says, "OK, I'm just going to finish up this note I'm writing, I'm putting you back on hold." I stayed on hold for another 5 minutes, then hung up and called a different dentist. The dentists may be great, but if the receptionists make it this hard to get in the door - and prioritize finishing their notes over accepting new patients - you're going to have a hard time staying in business.

Dr.Brown and Dr.Whiteman are absolutely amazing!! They are doctors that actually care! Will never go to a different office again. Thank you guys so much!!

If dentist visits give u anxiety, this is the place to go. Staff are extremely friendly as well as understanding when u cry after being told at 40 you have not only your first cavities, but need a root canal too. Thanks for putting up with me. 👍 btw, my teeth look and feel great even a day later.

My family has been going to see Dr. Whitman and Dr. Brown for the last three years now, they are amazing. Their staff is great and always friendly!
