Advanced Cosmetic & General Dentistry of DC

Always calls to request to reschedule. This place used to be good when Dr. J was there. After new management took over about 2 years or so ago things went down hill. They always have to reschedule appointments by pushing our original appointment back by 30min to an hour. Had to cancel my appointment today because they called to push my appointment back AGAIN- but not today - I don’t have time to waste with them today!

Dr. Baker, Vickie, and GeeGee were very attentive to me today. I appreciate the professionalism and care they provided. Thank you, and I’ll see you at the next appointment. Hugs, Phyllis W.

I had another great experience at Advanced Cosmetic & General Dentistry! Vicky is the best dental hygienist ever and I can’t imagine going to anyone else but her. She is so kind and calm and gentle - she makes a dental appointment worth looking forward to! Dr. Baker is a new dentist for me, and I really appreciated her positivity and suggestion for improving the fit of my night guard. One thing that always sticks out to me about this practice is that I go away not just with clean teeth but also feeling better about myself as a person! Thank you!

It’s probably not expected to enjoy going to the dentist; but the experience at Advanced Cosmetic & General Dentistry is always a delight. Everyone is super nice and professional, and the experience is as painless and pleasant as a dentist visit can be.

Dr. Baker and her assistants, Sebi and Gany, are the best in the business. I had 9 crowns replaced and several fillings due to problems from a jaw operation from many years ago. I am so happy to have a team like this taking care of my dental needs. Don Bruce.

The worst experience to a dentist ever. Waited for 1 hour and the Dr. Baker didn’t even show up. The nurse gave me some advice!

After years of searching for the right provider, I'm extremely glad I was referred to Advanced Cosmetic & General Dentistry. Jose at the front desk was especially welcoming and attentive. Dannielle by far was the best hygienist I've ever had the pleasure of working with and was very thorough in answering my questions. Dr. Baker topped it off by making it a very positive visit. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I'm afraid to say I look forward to my next visit. 😬

I can't emphasize enough just how great this practice is. I wish I could come here for all my healthcare. Dr. Baker, Larrese, Gany, and the front desk staff are exceptionally skilled and kind. I used to be super scared of the dentist and felt embarrassed about my past dental history. The team here made me feel welcome, safe, and so much more confident. I'm so happy with the care I received here and am genuinely looking forward to seeing them again. :)

I swear I am TERRIFIED Of The DENTIST, I remember calling and making my 1st appt and JOSE answered all my questions and I told him I was “Chicken Little” and he was like “ WE GOT YOU” I said but YOU Don’t Understand I’m AFRAID & He said COME ON IN HERE, “ WE GOT YOU” So GLAD I Listened To Him Because I Haven’t REGRETTED IT YET!!!😂☺️

My wife and I are delighted to join Amelia Baker’s practice. She’s quick, skillful and careful to do only what’s needed. We’re lucky that she and her staff are high-class and thrifty for us.

Dr. Baker is amazing! She takes the time to keep you fully informed about any dental procedure which is super helpful for the anxious types like myself. Sebi and Dr. Baker, both noticed my nervousness and took action to make me feel relaxed and comfortable. If you have had traumatic dental experiences in the past, this is the place to go. Dr. Baker was amazing and everyone on her staff was great. I was in DC on business when I had a dental emergency. I wish I lived closer because I would love to have her as our family dentist. If you are looking for a dentist in DC - Dr. Baker is wonderful.

I hope we all know that there is a lot wrong with the American healthcare system. Some things though should and can be more in our control, you would think. Yet, still many healthcare providers manage to blow my mind (and not in the good way). I really thought I had found a good dentist with this office. I was planning to have a veneer placed early 2023. However, when I tried to make an appointment for my husband to have his teeth cleaned, this wasn't possible. First, he had to make an appointment as a new patient. Only then can he make a 2nd appointment to have his teeth cleaned. So imagine, you are working 10-12 hours a day, then need to find at least an hour of your time to go to the dentist, show them the photos that were already made by a previous dentist. They will literally say "open your mouth", "all is fine, but your teeth indeed need a clean", and off you go again. An hour wasted for something you already knew. In Portugal this teeth cleaning is done in 15-20mins and costs $40 without insurance.... I still tried to be reasonable and request 2 appointments next to each other so he only has to come in once (but the dentist can bill twice). Not possible. I rest my case...

I went in for a chipped front tooth. The dentist did a thorough job and explained every step of the procedure and fix. I appreciated her attention to detail and being a perfectionist. On another note, I’ll likely be joining this practice for my general cleanings and exams.

I keep coming back and editing this review because every time I come here it's great :) I just had to get a crown put on a tooth after an emergency root canal, and Dr. Baker and Gany rocked! They were very thorough and I really appreciated how she explained everything she was doing along the way and checked in. Honestly wish Dr. Baker was my doctor for all my other needs, it's been nothing but 11/10 experiences for me.

Dr. Baker is amazing she takes her time to answer questions you may have before a procedure which makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Gany and the staff are friendly and professional.
