Update: The dentist and back staff are fantastic and it seems like they've got new staff. This is the only place in the area (basically most of NW Florida) that has sliding scale so it is jam packed. I've been trying to make an appointment for many months now and am in a ton of pain. I'm having to go out of state to be able to get work done because of the terrible healthcare system here.

I have other positive feedback about the extractions I had, the cost, and how I was treated at Palms Dental, but I want to add this about the cleaning I received. I only have 8 teeth left on the bottom. The new dental hygienist at Palms cleaned my 8 teeth for over an hour. I was embarrassed how long it had been since I had them cleaned last. I had one tooth that was going sideways. I didn't understand why until after I got home from the cleaning and saw it was now perfectly straight. I had so much harder, and calcium built up under my gum, it had pushed my tooth sideways. I was wondering why she was digging at one spot for so long. It was very painful, but she would stop, apply the liquid stuff on my gums to help with the pain, give me a break, and continue to get everything out from under my gums. This is important if you are getting partials later. I wish I would of looked in the mirror at the dentist office so I could of given her extra praise for the hard work she did. The pain I suffered was my own fault. Years of neglect. But she cleaned them as gentle as she could. She could of given up and left some behind, but she was determined to get it all, no matter how much I was complaining about the pain. Great job!!!!

Does this office see patients? I’ve never once had someone answer for scheduling. They must only reschedule for patients that are already there being seen on a follow up. 🤦🏼‍♀️

So rude .... She hung up on me after I explained to her I have a broken tooth and it needs to come out ... So much for customer service

The reason why for the one star is I made an appointment 2 months in advance and was even referred by my primary care doctor from palms medical group to go to this location due to most dentist office I’m having a hard time of getting a new appointment to even be seen let me start off by saying the receptionist is very rude and has poor customer service doesn’t know how to talk to potential clients I had to drive to my local palms medical group office and have the staff to listen to how rude she talks to the clients/customers and I must say it’s very unacceptable! Not to mention to call a day before the appointment to tell someone that my insurance want cover the x-rays and that they don’t accept secondary insurance and they want take X-rays from your previous doctor I’m not even sure if this is a sign from GOD that I dodge a bullet of not going here but I must say it’s very inconsiderate to call me a day before the appointment to tell me to pay out of pocket $159 for X-rays when I have 2 insurance and you want accept both! I highly don’t recommend going to this office location and I made sure to let my local palms medical group office know to not do referrals I mean to belittle someone for having Medicaid or Medicare I sure will be filling a complaint through Medicaid as well and the receptionist believe her name starts with a T I’m not mistaken whatever her name is customer service skills is poor and attitude is terrible!

Called this morning with a toothache. They got me in for the afternoon. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you guys for everything!!

The doctors and staff here are great.

Just because your poor and pay on a pay scale doesn't mean you will be treated less than normal at the lake City Palms Dentistry. I was treated with respect just like any expensive dentist would treat you. 3 extracted, including an eye tooth which usually is the hardest with hardly any pain.They welcomed my service Dog like it was their own. I was very impressed. You can make an appointment here without worry. UPDATE: 6 DAYS LATER: Had 3 more teeth extracted, including an eye tooth. Same result as a week before. The Doctor and technician were great. Thank God I am done except cleaning. They were happy to set that appointment. I trust Palms Dentistry.

I waited over a month to see them to pull my tooth as emergency. When i finally got the appointment the supposible dentist wouldn't pull my tooth. What a waste of time. I stayed in pain for much longer until i had to go way off about an hour or so drive to get the tooth removed. They acted like they were actually going to help my emergency situation. They even put me in as emergency. But no they didnt remove it. Just sent me home with a third round of antibiotics. They didnt even send me anyware.

They told me to call back April 5, so I called back first thing in the morning 8 AM when they open. I could not get through, I could not leave a voicemail because their voicemail boxes are full, so I called back after work, only to be told to call back May 16 that that is when they will be accepting new patients and appointments. I will take my business somewhere else!

Don't take humana and wanted to charge me 220 dollars.

The tech & dentist very nice . Made sure I was numb before starting. Talked to me through the procedure time let me know step by step what they were doing. Very knowledgeable. Thank you for making the procedure as stress free as possible.

Would give 0 stars if possible huge waste of time. Rudest service I've ever had in a medical facility. I've had to come back 3 times because they can't commit to what they tell me on the phone. Worst practice I've ever seen. Fire everyone.

Appt at 2:15 it’s 3pm and I am still waiting three other people have gone in and left and I’m still waiting horrible should tell you come in an hour early just to get registered 🤦‍♀️

Always friendly. Everyone seems to truly like their job and care for their patients.

Always trying to make ppl come outta pocket quick to try in get some money I'd recommend anyone else to go to UF Florida dentist care I didn't have to come outta pocket for nun my tooth got pulled in got x-rays done no cost

Doctor Lema and Samantha are awesome, they both make you feel very comfortable, they both do excellent work, they take real good care of the people they see. I highly recommend this dentist. Doctor Lema has fixed everyone of my teeth besides the ones I had to get surgically removed. I've been going here for almost 2 years and can finally say after 10 years I can actually smile!
