My family (immediate and extended!) have been going to Dr. Smith and ARTS for over a decade. The staff and service are amazing…and they are at the forefront of dental technology. So good, so good, so good! ;)

My husband and I’ve been very happy with our dental care for years. Everyone is kind and friendly. They treat you like family. High quality, professional dental care. I’ve had dental crowns and fillings taken care. Also, I’ve recently started an implant procedure, and it’s going pretty well! All the office staff, dental assistants, and dental hygienists are the best. Scheduling is easy and they send you text reminders for your upcoming appointment. The billing desk is great about helping you with your insurance and/or, setting you up with a fair payment plan. I believe that anyone in need would not be turned down. To me, I feel that Dr. Smith has created that sense of caring and compassion among his staff, and it is obvious that he holds himself to that same high standard. Dr. Smith is one of the greatest guys I've ever met. He is extremely professional, explains what he is going to do and why. And, then he does it. Everything he does is done to perfection. Yet, when it is all over, you feel like saying, " Hey, let's go have a beer after work." If you are freaked out about going to a dentist, don't be. Dr. Smith will make it as painless as possible. My family and I have been seeing him for the last 27 + years. If you need a new dentist or are looking for a change. Dr. Smith and his excellent office is the place you want to be.

Dr smiths office is always polite and professional!! He's Been my dentist for 30 years! Retention of staff says a lot about the office. I wouldn't hesitate to use Dr. Smith and his hygienists for routine adult and child dental care - cleanings, fillings, crowns - that sort of thing. I'd be careful if you need services beyond the routine - ask very good questions, and expect honest and complete answers - not obfuscation. If you may need something like implants, I'd be doubly careful. I had 2 implants lower right - 28, 29, and a root canal #30. Done in 2010, I've had nothing but problems since- infections, expensive periodontal work and bone grafting (twice) to treat bone loss holding the implants. Now, I need to likely have those implants removed as well as #30 molar with a failing root canal removed. I'm not sure what the treatment plan will be to correct the work that Dr. Smith did - the team of dentists and specialists will study the images and discuss options. In addition to the many xrays and photos this team took, they asked me to get xrays when the original implants were placed - before and after. Dr. Smiths office agreed to have them for me in the new year (2023) but said they would charge me a fee of $100. That seemed odd to me because Idaho legislation shows the fees for a patient request at .50 (fifty cents) per page for the first 25 pages, then .20 (twenty cents) per page after. Dr. Smith is a nice guy to talk to, but I feel there's some sort of patriarchal attitude going on, where he's not as honest and transparent as any adult patient (or parent) deserves. I say this because I've gotten excellent, clear communication from other doctors who are going to be treating me going forward, and to fix this health problem with my jaw. It may be true the computer guided surgery technology didn't exist back then to allow Dr. Smith to do a better job of placing these implants (images taken by another dentist shows they were not placed properly or straight into bone) I believe he did the best he could back then, but I regret having this procedure with him, and in retrospect would not have.
