My 8 year old needed a filling due to previous dental work done incorrectly at another dentist office. Dr Lewis was amazing! He showed her all the instruments he was going to use. He let her touch them and also told her each step so she knew what was happening. He spent time with her making sure she was afraid. I have never seen such a kind gesture.

I had been a happy patient of Morning Star Dental since Dr. Lewis built his Star office. Imagine my dismay today when he informed me (due to some recent risk assessment seminar) that I could not get my routine teeth cleaning without agreeing to a "recommended" periodontal assessment, nor sign a waiver absolving him of responsibility for what he labeled substandard care, which "might" jeopardize his malpractice insurance - see the tail wag the dog. Shame on you, Dr. Lewis! As a native Idahoan, I'd expect you to respect & defend personal liberty & bodily autonomy. The good news...you were easily replaced by a highly recommended local dentist who does!
