Got a tooth pulled. Dr Adkins was rude and very unprofessional. Put the numbing agent on prior to the needle to numb before pulling the tooth, and only left that on for about 15 seconds and then stuck the needle in before the topical had a chance to work. She was rough and rude when mouth wasn't opened wide enough and was very impatient and irritated, probably because of the misunderstanding between pulling the tooth and getting a partial at a later date. While trying to remove the root of the tooth, her hand and tool slipped and the tool hit the tooth beside the one being pulled and knocked it loose. Once the procedure was done she rushed out of the room without any time to ask questions or even ask .the feelings afterwards. She doesn't appear to take pride in her patients. She brushed off any questions that was asked and was very vague to any answers. Not sure how she's still in business. This was the last choice to get same day service and in such urgency is appreciated, but was definitely the worse choice. Could've just kept the tooth as the pain afterwards is just as great and now there's another damaged tooth that needs attention. In addition ,she left a piece of the root. Think hard before choosing this dentist, as patients aren't first priority.

The worst dentist office I've been in. The people working there are not very personal, and not good at there jobs. I got a half deep cleaning had to stop them water dripping all down my neck I was wet after that. Not being numb for a deep cleaning I never experienced. My son son got a cleaning and was done in 15 minutes. The shortest cleaning ever wasn't done the appropriate way.. Ms. Adkins herself is not very personal. Check your dentist out don't settle for the ads. They are very misleading

Dr Adkins is the most unprofessional dentist in the Lexington area. She is rude and shows no empathy for patients. I made an appointment to address some pain I was having and after being there for 2 hours, Dr. Adkins just gave me a long list of what was wrong and sent me out the door. Still in pain and almost in tears. What kind of dentist let’s someone leave their office in pain? Ridiculous!

That was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I am a dental assistant myself, but unfortunately I had a small cavity that needed to be fixed the front desk was very very helpful, but the doctor was very rough and uncommunicative about what she was doing and when she would do it! This doctor(atkins) also looked away to talk while the stencil was still in my mouth causing her to nick my tooth and she never even mentioned it or even tried to fix it. She gave me an occlusal filling which wasn’t necessary considering it was a buccal serface! And the filling is very jagged! Also the assistant working on my teeth for the filling had her tools across from her. (over my body) which most assistants are taught to have it by your side, she also talking with stencil in my mouth dropped it on my FACE!!! Causing my lip to later that day bruise and cause me pain throughout 3 days! AS A DENTAL ASSISTANT I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

The worst dentist office and staff imaginable. If looking for a dentist I would highly suggest going somewhere else. Denise the hygienist and Dr. Adkins are the rudest most unprofessional women in the dental field I have ever come across. Tried calling the front desk to figure a way to report these unprofessional women and the front desk lady Sadra was no help at all if not just as rude. Sadra was also heard on the phone by my partner and I speaking badly about our conversation that we were currently having. Save yourself the time and money and avoid this dentist office.

Writing this on Behalf of my niece. Told Dr. Adkins that I was in pain while doing dental work and she didn’t stop like she claimed she would. Aired out my business about having an ED. This place is just full of mean girls basically. Very unprofessional, and filing a complaint with Kentucky State board of dentistry.

They got me in within two hours of me calling as a first-time patient. My visit was great and I was told they took care of my issue. Two weeks later I was still having issues and went to my regular dentist and had several things that needed correcting. I also got billed for services I didn't know I had received.

Those women were two of the most amazing not to even mention gorgeous women I've met in a awhile. They are so caring and friendly and efficient at their job. I'll never go to any other dentist again This place will be where I go from now on and I recommend them to absolutely everyone. I got in and out with getting an x-ray, numbing and then tooth extraction within a hour. Thank you ladies again. I'm forever grateful.

I had fine teeth before I went to her. She did unnecessary procedures and caused permanent damage to my teeth. The fillings that I "needed" were horrible. They fell out in no time. And the damage is irreversible. The holes she drilled were huge for a pepper sized speck on my tooth. Come to find out, she drilled out over half of my tooth. When I went back she asked me not to tell anyone about this, that she wouldn't charge to fix it but she did charge my insurance. I have the ugliest teeth, I don't smile openly anymore. It's embarrassing. Thanks "doc"

STAY AWAY! You’re better off without any dentist rather than going here, this lady does not know what she’s doing, or if she does she’s running a scam to get more money for unnecessary work, sister had multiple teeth with cavities that turn into route canals that turned into a crowns to the point where she had dentures at age 30 she robbed her of her good years just to get a couple thousand dollars from Medicaid, when working on my own teeth she made multiple mistakes that had to be fixed, And she’s terrible at dentures she told my mother the reason dentures don’t fit is because they’re not supposed to Took a mold of it right after pulling the teeth with the gums swollen, Cut through a gold crown and refuse to pay for it, on top of that she has a disgusting smile, you could tell she is evil just by her eyes

The only reason I’m giving two stars and not one is because The staff was super friendly and worked well to help me out when they forgot to put my appointment in the system after it was confirmed 4 days prior. I waited a little over an hour until they were able to help me but they got me in, took my xrays, and sat me for my cleaning. The hygienist was very nice but super rough on my teeth (I’ve never had a cleaning hurt like that) and the cleaning only lasted about 10 minutes max? I’m not sure if they were trying to get me in and out ASAP or if that’s their standard but I still felt a lot of grains of product in my mouth after she was finished and I feel as though it wasn’t thorough; I felt extremely rushed to be honest. Now onto dr. Adkins: I found her practice online but didn’t look at her reviews or rating until AFTER my appointment when I went home with hurting teeth and an appointment for the following week to fill “multiple cavities that would take 2-3 visits to complete”. She also prescribed me a high in fluoride tooth gel to help my enamel and prevent more cavities. I wasn’t surprised that I had cavities, but surely not that many, and it couldn’t be THAT bad. I called that same day to schedule a second opinion at another dentists office and went in today only to find out I only have 2 cavities, one of which were so small I wouldn’t even need numbing for. I’m not sure what kind of practice Dr Adkins is running but it definitely isn’t an honest one. It’s one thing if it was only me, but other reviews (and former employees) seem to agree that something shady is going on and dr. Adkins May only have her eye on the money aspect and not necessarily the care she gives to her patients.

Everyone was super nice and very accommodating. Had quickest extraction I’ve ever had and with no pain! Dr Adkins is awesome! Victoria the hygienist was so friendly and thorough with her exam and xrays. Made me feel at ease-and I’m a super anxious patient normally. Jasmine got me scheduled in for emergency like a pro. Can’t say enough nice things. Looking forward to a long relationship with Adkins Family Dentistry.
