O'Donnell Family Dentistry

Horrible place! Do not go here. My husband and I have been patients here for 15 years. They do not care about patients, only the money. My husband had a root canal 5 years ago and no one even saw that he had an active infection for 5 years. Our new dentist caught this infection and was in shock!

Dr O’Donnell is extremely meticulous and thorough in his work. The staff is also very helpful and courteous with any questions I have had. I would highly recommend his practice to anyone Thank you

Don't go here I had a dentist he didn't look at the x ray. He gave me a crown that my tooth didn't need and than cracked my tooth so now I have to get it pulled. If you you wanna get ripped off and taken advantage of great for that. But none of the dentist know what going on they just charge run you around in circles and than do nothing.

I've been coming here since we moved to Lexington over 4 years ago and have always had a very good experience. I was especially impressed at my last visit with a hew hygienist named Sharon. Sharon knew exactly how to resolve my problem with inflamed gums due to popcorn husks, and she numbed the area first to help me be as comfortable as possible. The office atmosphere is always pleasant and in a good location.

I really wanted to come to this practice however I made an appointment back in early December and was scheduled for like early January. They cancelled it due to COVID which I totally understand I also work in healthcare. Well I get rescheduled for Feb and they cancel me as well due to this anticipated ice storm (also understandable) however the next available appointment for a Saturday (I schedule Saturdays because also working in healthcare) wasn’t until like mid April. I’ve never even been to the practice and when initiating care there which started in Dec I won’t be seen until April? I appreciate they are open on Saturdays but I guess not open to me lol. I’ll try again and try to update this review but just a little aggravated. UPDATE: I rescheduled for week days and it was not super inconvenient. It’s been actual years since I’ve seen a dentist and this practice made me feel welcomed. So I saw Dr. Ruth for my dental exam and she was actually younger than I am (I’m 31) however she was very professional and knowledgeable. Since my first visit I made 4 appointments to get my teeth worked on and I feel comfortable coming to this practice.

I had to have my first root canal ever this year. Dr. G made the experience very comfortable and was super caring throughout the process. Even called to check in on me! This is my first google review, so five stars to you Dr. G. !

Dr. Galbreth has been my dentist for years. I do business in China and I always fly back to see Dr. Galbreth for dental work. He’s a great person, you’ll be charmed in no time. Plus the 48 yrs of experience helps... you know your in good hands.

Dr. O'Donnel is wonderful and does his best to make sure patients leave his office happy with his services. The whole staff is very friendly.

Simply can not say enough praise about the entire staff! Had to have extensive work on all my teeth. Everyone makes you feel confident and safe. I would absolutely recommend Dr O'Donnell and all his girls. They turned what I thought would be a nightmare into a wonderful experience. I even love Myles at the Lab they use. and. Oh... My smile is beautiful!

Through my life I have been in the dentist chair I don’t know how many times. Between braces as a teenager, route canals and crowns as a adult, I’d say I have a good gauge on the expertise of each dentist I’ve seen. This is usually based on level of pain or discomfort I experienced in the dental chair. I’m not ashamed to say I’m a wimp when it comes to shots and drills etc. I think the word I would associate with dentists would be =trauma. My experience with the staff was welcoming, warm and professional. Dr Galbreath asked questions and was very kind to me. I felt that he truly cared about my well being. Unlike another big chain assembly line dentist that just wanted to pull the tooth. I’m glad I got a second opinion. The procedure was great. The best I’ve had and I won’t hesitate to recommend anyone come to this dentist if your unhappy with your smile, scared of the dentist or starting to feel a little pain when you eat. Get in now! The sooner the better.

Very mixed reviews about this dentist. The staff was overall nice and very positive which gave me a good feeling about the place. I went in for a cleaning and it seemed very rushed. I know a cleaning shouldn’t take long, but every detail such as flossing and brushing seemed quickly rushed. The dental assistant also couldn’t take a proper x-ray. She had trouble getting the machine lined up correctly and took around 10 x-rays total for both sides of my mouth. They saw a few “minor” cavities so I scheduled to get them filled. When I arrived and the dentist started drilling, he noticed the cavities were deeper than expected. This caused him to drill much deeper than expected. Once the cavities were drilled out, the dental assistant began to fill them while he went and worked on someone else. She seemed fairly inexperienced, which really showed later that afternoon after my appointment. The two teeth that were drilled (my back molars) we’re still very sharp and kept nicking my tongue when I talked or chewed. It felt like they cavities weren’t 100% filled. I called and explained the situation and went back the following weekend to get them checked out and re-filled. When the dentist checked, he couldn’t see anything wrong so I had to show him a picture which I had previously taken with my phone. He only drilled down the sharpness and used some quick setting filling to help out. It felt quite a bit better once I left, but soon after, I noticed that one of them was still sharp. Thankfully this doesn’t hurt at all. However, I have major problems with easily getting food stuck between these teeth and having to floss just to remove it. I also have problems with hit and cold foods/drinks severely agitating the area. I have lost trust in this dentist and have decided not to return to them to get the rest of the problem fixed. Great Dentist and Staff

Dr. Galbreath has been our family dentist for many years, having moved into the O"Donnell practice about two years ago. He is personable, helpful, and very professional. The care my wife and I have received is extraordinary!

Dr. O’Donnell and the entire staff are just amazing. Have been a patient for 8+ years and have had many different procedures done and all with perfect care and compassion. No way I’d go anywhere else

I must admit going to the dentist has never been my favorite thing to do. However, Dr. Jones and his staff really do create a pain free and comfortable environment. This is the best office around! Highly recommened!!
