Do not recommend. If I could give zero stars, I would. Made appointments for my children. Cleanings went great. Then we get to treatment and they refer us to a different dentist. “But your a family office?” (They don’t do pediatric dentistry I guess.) Schedule an appointment for 9 yo son to have a few teeth pulled and an intake for husband. Get confirmation call for son and ask to confirm for my husband as well. They apparently cancelled his appointment because they didn’t have insurance information… the exact same information they had for my children also applied to my husband but okay. Her response? “So, you’re the subscriber for HIS insurance?” Excuse me?! Yes, yes I am and I’m not sure why that’s shocking or surprising to them! Very unprofessional office.

If you need regular check up and cleaning this place is fine. Would not advise using them for anything else like crown etc. Had a crown put in by them, barely lasted a year and it broke off. I had moved to another state and the dentist confirmed the crown was not seated properly and it wore a hole in the top. I was told the only option I have is to come in. they would not speak to my current dentist or look at pictures. This would require 2 trips with 7+ hrs of driving for them to redo the work. The crown they offer is also of cheap quality and wont last long. I am out $1000 due to poor workmanship and no ownership to stand behind their work. Do not trust these folks or PR response they might post below. Not to mention the snippy-ness of the lady that answered the phone which admittedly cause me to loose my cool.

I had a crown procedure scheduled. I always call to get the price prior to the procedure. I was told one thing. When I showed up for the procedure everything went great until I went to pay. The price some how increased by $500 and they failed to notify me until the work was already done. Only option given was to split it into 2 payments. I believe this is something that should be told to patients prior to a service being performed. I would have looked at other places or changed a few things had I know.

I came to Dr. Ward and the practice after not having been to a dentist in roughly 4 years. Dr. Ward and the staff here are friendly, efficient, and professional. They do an excellent job of explaining processes and making you feel comfortable. They really listen to your concerns and take steps to make you feel "ready". The front desk staff makes billing and payments easy, and they're always willing to answer questions or help work through the cost of services.

Zero privacy, a big complaint! I didn’t get the completed work promised on time despite many calls to them. A $2,000 vacation got cut short by 4 days because of an unfinished product (after 6 weeks of waiting and being prompt with all appointments requested) and because I couldn’t eat even the softest of foods after spending $2,000 (in cash) on this dental work. They gave me an unfinished product with no remorse, and said I would come back for more, that’s not happening. I’m sure they are happy, they soaked me for a lot of money!

Had two attempts to get an old filling replaced. Was referred to Scott Endodontics who did a great job doing my root canal which was needed to stop pain. I quickly setup a follow up appointment w Middletown Commons to get my crown done. Upon arrival they took an xray and checked the tooth and told me they were short staffed and could not do my crown. Now the procedure wont happen for another two weeks. Not impressed. They could have let me know at the time I made the appointment or earlier today so I did not have to rearrange my schedule to fit in this visit.

Do not take kids here, the new dentist does not do well with them at all. It’s a shame because Dr Ward was always good. Edit: make that two visits in a row. If the Dentist is not comfortable working with kids do not schedule a second appointment and lecture the parent about how her parents are pediatric (whatever), that is irrelevant. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL on that Dentist part. Safety is first, so do not have a dentist attempt something if they cannot provide a proper service. We have been taking our kids there for years and have always had great success but not with this new dentist.

I've been seeing Dr. Ward for the past two years, and I can't express how much they've helped my sister and I! I was terrified of going to the dentist and hadn't been since I was a child; I was recommended Dr. Ward and decided to give it a try based on the glowing reviews, and I can't express how grateful I am that I did! The first cleaning session was challenging because my teeth were not used to the sensation, but they were so attentive that they even gave me an X-ray pad to use as a weighted blanket to help with my anxiety! In the two years I’ve been with them, I haven’t met a person who wasn’t incredibly lovely and excellent at their job! I now go for cleanings every six months and no longer require the "weighted blanket" they are so nonjudgmental and friendly that I always feel at ease when I come here. I will continue to go here as long as they are here and would recommend them again and again!! They saved my teeth, and I'm grateful to the entire team!

I have been going to Middletown Commons Family Dental for a few years now! They are phenomenal. They always go above and beyond. Highly recommend to anyone!

Everyone needs to go see Dr. Ward and my fav assistant Connie! The staff is amazing and so friendly! It makes going to the dentist so much nicer!

I’m not one to leave bad reviews unless I actually have had multiple bad experiences somewhere. The staff here is lovely, all very friendly people. However, I have had two botched fillings come from here, one that’s requiring a root canal to fix. I’m not sure why, but they almost exclusively have dental hygienists doing the dental work instead of an actual dentist, which I was originally okay with until multiple mistakes were made that are now costing me a fortune to get corrected. I also had to tell one of the hygienists 3 times that I don’t have wisdom teeth so that can’t be the cause of a toothache before she would listen to me, and she had an attitude about it and left the room and never came back. Save yourself the trouble and future correction costs and find a different dentist.

Dr. Ward and her entire staff are amazing. I have always had anxiety about dental appts and dental work, they never once made me feel judged and were all so kind and caring. I would recommend them to anyone, best dentist I've ever had!

Dr. Ward and staff are AMAZING!. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE!. They are passionate and caring. Make you feel at ease about a trip to the dentist! Great job to the team!

Dr. Bishop has been nothing less than fantastic! The staff are all super helpful and friendly and the fact you can make payments is also extremely convenient. The only dentist I have seen that is more worried about helping patients rather than bankrupting then. 10/10 would recommend

Middletown Commons Family Dental is a such a great place for dental care. Dr. Ward and her staff are personable, very helpful, and really care about their patients. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new dentist go to Dr. Ward!

What a wonderful experience and a very nice staff. I am very cautious when I it comes to the dentist and Wow did they ever take such good care of me to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. So much so that I will moving my family to this office. I must say just absolutely awesome. Thank you so much for helping and thank you for the wonderful experience. Awesome!

I highly recommend Middletown Commons Family Dental. They're extremely professional, extremely polite, and extremely knowledgeable in their fields. My doctor, Dr. Bishop was wonderful conversationalist as well as very professional and polite. My dental assistant I can't quite remember to her name, it was a beautiful name I remember that, but she was amazing as well, and also seemed very knowledgeable in her field. Rita, the receptionist was AMAZING. She helped me with my finances until we could get to a point where I can comfortably afford to make monthly payments at a reasonable amount for me per month, as insurance won't cover the work I need. Everyone I spoke to in that facility was a pleasure to talk to and I would recommend to anyone to visit them if you need dental work. Irish recommended by a friend, and I'm glad that took his advice. Instead of being anxious about visiting before I walked in, I walked out with a quite a different impression. And I'm no longer anxious but looking forward to visiting Middletown Commons Family Dental after I get some surgery done. I would rate above five stores if it was possible. The old lady who works with financial is rude and disrespectful! She should not work with customer service because she doesn’t know how to talk to people over the phone and in person. For first encounter she said to me: You don’t need to thank me you should thank your boyfriend. I was trying to thank you for the great service but I guess I was wrong! Who do you think you are! He chose to sit with me no matter what during those hours. The second instance she called me over the phone and I was trying to explain to her about what time to come but she kept on continuing to say bye bye bye. The third time she said you better leave before I change my mind. And this is when I was sitting down doing nothing after I get my teeth worked on. Otherwise the other young Ladies who work there are very sweet however I do not want to be treated like that. Therefore I will not be back!

I love the dentist and assistants who helped me get my teeth together. However, I do not appreciate being talk down to from the office lady who works with insurance. Listen if you work with the public do not keep saying bye to the person on the phone! It's rude when someone is trying to tell you something. Second do not tell someone "insurance is all paid for and I can not find it. Now you better leave before I change my mind." I will not be coming back

Dr. Ward and her staff are absolutely amazing! I have really bad anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist but they made the experience a good one for me. I have avoided going to the dentist until I am in major pain but these ladies provide a really calming and non-judgmental environment. They also have flexible payment plans.
