Office manager, Brandi, is extremely unprofessional and doesn't process the claims properly. She was literally making fun of me on the phone and had a terrible attitude when I called with questions about our bill. We had to pay up front for services. You shouldn't have to do that if a dentist or doctor accepts your insurance, but some people don't pay their bills, so they want payment up front now days. However, after the bill was generated, we had paid them more than the insurance said we actually owed for our portion. The insurance showed we were due a refund for months, but I had to call 3 times to get the money we were owed, and they still didn't credit us the full amount in accordance with what the insurance said we were owed. I called and had my EOB from the insurance in hand showing what we owed versus what we paid, and they still refused to give us back the remaining money we were due. They do not abide by the terms of their insurance contract, and I had to file a complaint wth the insurance about this because they turned around and billed me for things the insurance says they can't, which is fraud and in violation of their contract, according to the insurance contract terms and conditions (that verbiage came directly from United Concordia). It was brought up to Dr. McGee, and he just claimed ignorance to the billing system. My husband also experienced significant pain following a crown they placed, which turned into needing a root canal, in which they didn't get him all the way numb. There are a lot of advantages to using his office, as he is very technologically advanced, but his office manager and billing system ruined it for our family.
