It was a terrible experience. The dental assistant offered an x ray of which I declined. I am a brain tumor survivor. I did state of on exam, there is any indication I needed an x ray, if reconsider. She replied, we really cannot do an exam without x rays. I again mentioned my concerns and desires. She told me I needed to get at least some x rays and she would “allow” me to refuse the panoramic view. I yet again stated I’d rather not. She then said, “Do you have any proof dental X-rays caused the brain cancer?” I said no, do you James any proof there didn’t? She then told me I’d “get more radiation walking to my car “. I asked to speak to the dentist and was told he was busy. I told her she was making me uncomfortable. I told her I was leaving. No one from this office made any attempt to follow up with me.

I’m here in Maine on vacation visiting family for the holidays and what do you know? My crown cracks!!! UGH!!! So I have a full week left of vacation and desperately need a temporary to get me through until I can get back home to have my dentist get a new crown for me. My family here in Maine has been going to Gannett Drive Dental for many years. My mom called them and they fit me in that morning. Dr. Fillebrown and Skylar assisted me and they were both amazing! They took care of me, super friendly and professional. I got my temporary crown and now I can enjoy rest of my vacation without having to worry about my tooth or any pain. Awesome Dental Clinic! I have been seeing Dr. Kivus since I was kid and have been seeing Dr. Fillebrown for the last couple of years. They do an awesome job from my cleanings to other dental work including cavity fillings (which was painless). The hygienists really care about their work. I've been going here since roughly 2006. I've always been treated well; always given consideration from a fine staff. John Kivus has done great work on my teeth, which I'll admit is a challenge due to overcrowding, and always with a great conversation and a laugh. Recently I've been having work done with "the new guy," Jake Fillebrown, and he has already proven to be highly skilled as well as really personable. I can say the same about my hygienist. Ok, so I had not been to the dentist in years.. well like 20+ years and my experience today with Dr. Fillebrown and the team was fantastic.
