I recently started seeing Dr. Marhue after moving to York from MA. My first visit was for a cleaning and X-rays. I'll have to say I've never had a more thorough exam in my life! The Dr. and his assistant explained every step thoroughly and continuously asked about my comfort level. My 2nd visit was for more involved work; a filling and a temp crown. Again, the Dr. constantly checked on my comfort throughout! I'm so glad I found this dentist office. They are all very nice people from the ladies at the front desk to the assistants and Dr. Marhue! A team of true professionals!

Caring, passionate, and genuinely friendly doctor and team. Beautiful and inviting office. Hands down the best option for quality dental care in Maine.

Just had my 6 month dental check-up/cleaning with Sarah. It was the best, most thorough dental exam I have ever had. State of the art equipment. She was very gentle and carried out each task with ease...the x-rays, examination of gums and teeth, final cleaning. She is friendly and pleasant...just enough conversation to ease my nerves, yet not distracting from her work. I have worked with Dr. Marhue for 3 years side by side. We worked as endodontic and restorative team to get patients out of pain and restore their teeth to function. He has such an amazing chair side manner that I personally learned a lot from which helped me dealing with anxious patients to this day at my specialty practice. Genuine, sincere, and caring.... I was anxious and nervous about the dentist. I haven’t been in years. My experience was a 10!! Starting by walking in and being greeted by the friendly front staff. My hygienist Sara was amazing if you have fear at all she will make sure you understand everything. She took her time and explained everything, right to the Doctor who explained everything and made sure you understand. Thanks all for making my visit a comfortable and pleasant visit.

Moving can be stressful, especially when you need to change important things like your doctor and dentist. A week prior to my appointment I received a welcome call from the dentist. I thought that was a nice touch and hoped that would reflect my future visit. The second I walked into York Family Dental, I was warmly greeted by name. From the woman at reception, my hygienist and the dentist, I was given their full attention. Two days later and I'm thrilled with the level of cleaning I received. I left my first appointment excited to return and will be recommending this office to everyone.

While I was there for an appointment last week, I was chatting with Rachael (the exceptional patient coordinator) about how seldom I feel welcomed when I walk through the door of most businesses, especially restaurants. Unfortunately, this “unfamiliar” feeling of welcome only comes when I visit the dentist lately, which surely triggered me to initiate the topic for conversation. My husband and I are both patients of Dr. Marhue. We’ve worked in hospitality for many years and fully understand how important positive, genuine connections and interactions are with guests. A simple “hello” and a warm smile is all it really takes to make a small difference for someone. Sometimes, it can make their entire day. I’m happy to say that we are always the recipients of an authentic “hello” and a warm smile each time we walk through the door of York Family Dental. The entire long-term staff are super friendly, experienced professionals who will always make you feel recognized, appreciated, and comfortable while you’re there.

As always, the staff was professional, curteous and kind. My cleaning was very gentle and Dr. Marhue is honest and does not encourage unnecessary dental work. All in all I had another very good experience at York Family Dental.

No one likes going to the dentist but this place makes you almost want to go just for fun (almost!). Bright and cheery ambiance, very friendly and competent staff and patient doctor who explains in detail all procedures and results. Great find!

The other reviews don't lie! York Family Dental is the place to go if you are looking for a positive dental experience. I was nervous going in, but from the receptionist at the front desk to the actual doctor himself, I have never felt so welcomed into a dentist's office. The dental hygienist took the time to carefully explain each step of the visit, and was friendly, unbelievably thorough, and made sure that I was comfortable throughout. The exam was the most comprehensive one I have ever had, and I honestly left there knowing that not one tooth or part of my exam had been skimmed over. Dr. Marhue was beyond impressive, not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but he was able to explain everything to me in a way that was comprehensive, but not as if he was talking down to me or leaving anything out. He was sure to let me know about any possible issues or things worth watching, and I have never felt so much that a dentist actually cared about my health or my concerns. If you are looking for a place to go or you're nervous to try someone new, seriously, give York Family Dental a call, the receptionist is a sweetheart! :)

Fantastic experience for our two young children - kind and patient, spoke directly to each child making them feel at ease. Also a fantastic experience for Mom (me) - friendly and prompt communication, accommodating schedule, a professional and "can do" attitude. It was a joy to meet the entire staff at York Family Dental, and we all look forward to returning for years to come.

I am a relatively new patient to York Family Dental, and am loving my new dental office! Everyone there is so professional, pleasant and helpful. Today Victoria cleaned my teeth and was awesome (Sara is too, but out on maternity leave). Rachel is always pleasant and has just the right kind of personality to greet patients with a big smile and warm greeting. Dr. Jason Marhue is kind, professional and gentle.
