Gentle Family Dentistry

Cannot get people to sign PCS documents in a timely manner. Edit: Melissa, how is it you can reply to a review faster than you sign the paperwork on your desk? I specifically stated I needed those documents signed TODAY. When I called to follow up, after not receiving them as requested, I was told they were left on your desk to sign. Now, I’ll have to wait until tomorrow. Yet, hours later, you reply to my review? Drive to work and sign the documents. Then email them to me. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Edit2: after talking with Melissa, we landed on the same page and got necessary documents signed.

Really not happy about it. I had 4 crowns placed at this practice. 1 molar and 1 premolar on the upper arch, and same on the bottom. The bottom ones are doing ok 1.5y later, but the upper ones are not. They are placed so close to my other teeth it’s almost impossible to floss. I’m with a different dentist now and after having excruciating pain between the crown on my upper molar and the molar next to it, he decided to do an Xray to see what’s going on. Surprise surprise, the crown is placed wrong and there’s a gap under the crown right at the gum line where food gets trapped all the time and this caused my healthy molar to have a cavity now. Extremely poor practice… very dissapointed as it’s only been 1.5y since those crowns were placed. Now I have to pay to replace these again since my insurance won’t cover the same teeth again.

was supposed to get my invisalign today but was told that they weren’t ordered yet, even though we have had this appointment scheduled since middle of july. terrible customer service

My opinion,if your not having a great experience within this office then I would suggest an internal review of yourself. Many years of visitation even with different personnel at times, but an absolute pleasure and healthy experience. Even if you dont like going to the dentist in general.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! They are scammers who will try to get you to pay for procedures you don’t need! My regular dentist retired and I found myself without one. I figured I’d try Gentle Family Dentistry. To my surprise, after being examined by the doctor, who’s name I didn’t even catch because she was so incredibly rude and short with me, I was told I had two cavities. I am 30 years old and never in my life had a cavity. I knew there was no possible way I had one, yet alone two. I tried questioning them, but they insisted that I had to get these two cavities removed immediately. I left there without scheduling a follow up appointment and decided to get a second opinion. I went to a different practice the following week to have them look because I know I didn’t have any cavities. Low and behold the doctor could not find a single cavity, and was confused and flat out surprised that a “well respected” dentist would tell me otherwise. Needless to say I found my new dentist, and it isn’t Gentle Family Dentistry

From the moment I walked through the doors, to me leaving the building, I felt extremely welcomed by all the friendly staff. My hygienist was amazing! She played funny animal videos on the tv so I was able to get some chuckles while getting my teeth cleaned. I couldn’t say enough good things about this dentistry. Extremely friendly, extremely clean, and did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to see you all in 6 months!

The staff is ever so accommodating. I am very apprehensive with new a new dentist and the everyone made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend the office for all seeking a new dental practice!

Cleaning was quick and painless. Barbara explained (in words little kids could understand) what she was planning to do and then what she was doing every step of the way. She was responsive to every giggle and wiggle, positive and friendly, offering reminders as needed and plenty of praise throughout the visit. Both kids excitedly ran into the dentist office skipping and hopping, and they left equally happy, anxious to play with their new toys from the dentist's prize machine. We'll see you all again in August!

Every single employee at Gentle Family Dentistry is kind and polite, professional but also funny, and most importantly they all truly care for the health of their patients. There is just something about this specific dentist office that is comforting. Even when thinking about having your teeth looked at is anything but a comfortable feeling...somehow these women take that extra time to make you feel warm and at home and they do it with ease. They not only offer teeth care but also some other really cool facial treatments that I have been lucky enough to experience and plan on receiving more. I am 27 years old and I have been going to Dr. Sclater since I was 10. So shout out to the incredible Dr. Sclater and her awesome employees for always making my visit full of laughs, friendly advice, comfort and super clean teeth ;)

Every time I visit GFD, I feel welcomed and receive top notch care. Both dentists are excellent and Jessica S. is the best hygienist! She's awesome. So happy to have found them.

I have been a patient of this practice for over twenty years. My children have always felt comfortable here as well. Wonderful staff, very friendly. It appears everyone is comfortable with implementing latest technology. I would highly recommend GFD to just about anyone. Jim Huntingtown, MD

You know it says a lot about a dentist when you don't mind traveling an hour to get there. The name in the title says it all..."Gentle" I think most people have horror stories about hating to go to the dentist in one way or another, a bad experience growing up, etc. I was one of those kids growing up hating to go to the dentist. This group of Dr's, Hygienists office staff talk you through the process of everything that is about to happen and then what to expect afterward. Well worth the time to go every 6 months!

These ladies are the best at what they do and I mean from the reception in the front the nursing staff and doctor Absolutely the best And who could possibly ever have anything nice to say about a dentist in my life experience a visit to the dentist has been the worst experience of my life well not anymore the people at Gentle family dentistry treated me with professionalism, caring, and concern I’ve never felt more comfortable in my whole life at the dentist office dr. Rhiannon De Leon extracted four of my teeth or what was left of them I never felt an ounce of pain she put me at ease and the job was over before I knew what happened the nursing staff absolutely amazing as nervous and worried as I was going in they made all that go away and I mean everybody The ladies at the front reception went out of their way to Help me relax everybody there is just great

Dr. Sclater and the staff are a treasure! I was looking for a dentist and wasnt comfortable with my first choice. Several friends recommended Dr. Sclater and I'm so grateful they led me to Gentle Family Dentistry. They are super friendly, very professional, and thorough. From the first phone call, Michelle was so attentive and friendly. She took her time to understand and help me. I was the most comfortable I've ever been at a dentist. The hygeneist and Dr. Sclater were amazing!!! I look forward to going to the dentist now. Ok maybe not look forward to it but I will not avoid the dentist anymore!

I have been going to Gentle Family Dentistry long before Dr. Sclater took over the practice. At each visit I'm greeted with smiles and I can feel the atmosphere of friendliness within the establishment. I can't thank Dr. Sclater and Dr. Deleon and all of the staff enough for the great care they provide for me and my family.

I was very nervous coming in to this appointment. I had some bad experiences with a dentist before and they made me feel very comfortable from the minute i walked in the office. The office was so nice the people were amazing, I am so glad I chose Gentle Family Dentistry!

The teeth cleaning was excellent. My teeth have never been whiter and cleaner than they are now.
