Dr. Martin and Kissell, P.C.

Although the dentists and hygienists at this practice seem to practice good and ethical care, we were miss lead from the very beginning that Martin and Kissell were providers who took MetLife insurance. This is semi-correct, however after we questioned the office on multiple occasions why bills such as for procedures like fillings were so expensive compared to the MetLife dental plan we have, We came to find out that Martin and Kissell miss lead us for they would bill as an out of network provider for MetLife but they are not an “in network” provider for MetLife. When I initially called, I asked if they were in network with MetLife and they told me they were. One might claim that this is partially my fault for not checking in on my carriers website and that is why I am giving him three stars and not one. The other reason is because I asked them to transfer our family of seven‘s dental records to another dentist in Norfolk and they told me they could do it but they would have to charge us a $25 fee per person to do so. I think this is ridiculous!! nevertheless, there’s a much better dentist in Norfolk I would recommend any day.

Martin and Kissel Came highly recommended from my mother. She’s been going to them for nearly a decade. I decided to give it a try, I typically avoid the dentist and have not had the best of experiences in the past. This is not the case with Martin and Kissell. The hygienist was prompt, thorough, and very compassionate. I tend to be a bit anxious with cleanings and she was very kind. Came highly recommended from my mother. Professional, friendly staff, procedures are pain free and prices are reasonable

Jessica Pushee DMD and her assistant Kerry were both amazing. I had two crowns installed and I absolutely love how great a job they did. It was a painless procedure with hardly any discomfort after Novocain wore off. I highly recommend them.

I have had Dr. Martin as my Dentist for over 20 years, and it has been so nice to see the practice grow and expand over the years. While many other people are afraid to go to the dentist, I actually look forward to it because I know I will be in their good hands. Over the years, I have been seen by a number of different dentists on different occasions, all of whom have been fantastic. I have also been in the knowledgeable hands of a few different dental hygienists, who have excellent bedside manner and skills. I have even moved around MA, and still come back to Mansfield and Dr. Martin, because they are really THAT GOOD! Additionally, I have veneers, and it is always nice to know that if I have any issues, I can get into the office either that day or the next to have things fixed. They have excellent extended hours, which make it easy to get in even when I have a busy work week. I would HIGHLY recommend this dental practice. Dr. Martin and Dr. Kissell are definitely worth it!

These doctors have had several complaints against them. Please do not go to them. There are tons of doctors out there who are better. Doctor Kissell sold his business in Westwood and didn't even bother telling his patience. We go in for our appointment the next day to find out that he is I longer there and that the business is sold and he is no where to be found. After talking to several people in town they also had the same experience. His wife who was the secretary was nice in the beginning but after becoming a patient she was rude and abrupt. They would cancel our appointments because their kids were sick and both him and his wife had to sit at home with the kids. Fkn ridiculous and unprofessional. Or they would bring all their kids to the office and take up our appointment by attending to their kids during our paid for appointment. Disgusting!

I have been a patient of Doctor R. Martin from the first month he opened his practice. Most of his original staff are still with him . I have always have been made to feel very comfortable by the pass ,present staff and Dr. Martin. Also I admire the fact that when I needed a very complicated bone grafting and implant 10 years ago Dr. Martin referred me to one of the best surgeon's in the area . Doctor Albert Price. over the pass 10 years , between the two of them I Have the best and most updated procedures that are available in the dental field. I would highly recommend Doctor R. Martin

Prior to switching to this dentist office I often compared going to the dentist to a form of torture. Since switching to this office I can honestly say I'd never been more satisfied with a dentist office in my life. Everyone was nice, literally everyone, couldn't find a person who worked there that wasn't. I'd recommend this place to everyone and anyone. I recently had two fillings done and it was the fastest most easy going process I've ever been a part of.
