By far the worst dentist I’ve ever been to. They used to do good work. I went to them for tooth pain and it was discovered I needed a root canal. There was a snafu with my insurance so they said I had to wait for that to clear up. Once it did, I tried to schedule the appointment and they refused to do it. Sent me to an endodontist. I expressed displeasure at being made to wait for no reason, since they initially told me they would do the procedure and then refused. Then after the procedure was done elsewhere, I was to return to get the core and crown. They again refused treatment and said “it would be best” if I saw another dentist. So if you want to gamble on whether or not you’ll be treated here, by all means go ahead. But if you want a dentist with a front office that can be trusted, or one with the ability to admit that maybe they made a mistake, I’d recommend another dentist.

A year in advance I made an appointment at Boyne city dental with Michael A. Fleming DDS. I have been going to this dentist for several years now. On my way to my scheduled appointment I was caught behind an accident in Charlevoix so as a courtesy to the dentist I called to let them know that I may be up to 2 minutes late. I was placed on hold for a second and another female took the call and told me that my appointment had been canceled because she could not confirm my appointment that I had made a year earlier. I told her that I was close to their office and I would prove to her that I had not received a message from her. She was insisting she had but no record of her call could be found. Fifteen minutes early I arrived. I explained that regardless of her inability to reach me, should make no difference as I made an appointment and I was here for that appointment. I explained that them overbooking should not make me accountable for all the people that shirked their appointments. That’s not my style, if anything I’m overly curious. I don’t often complain on the media but gasoline has gotten expensive as we all know. I sat and waited for a spot to open and shifted my schedule around to accommodate them, while they whispered to one another in regards to the part they played. Shame on all of you for the way I have been treated and your lack of professionalism. Linda
