McLean Family Dental

My last appointment was the worst dental existence I’ve ever had. Extreme nerve pain during a filling and even though I told them about it they kept drilling. Also they found “cavities” that did not exist. Don’t go here. Dr Ellen Vander Heyden is the worst dentist I’ve ever experienced.

They must be good!! Cause they so busy they turned me down. Referred me to a new dentist office in Buffalo. I hung up in disbelief of the conversation that just took place...

I had a molar crack last week and needed a crown. Dr. McLean got me into the clinic, same day, so he could shave cracked sharp edges which were cutting my tongue. I then scheduled the appointment for the crown which was completed this afternoon. Lori suggested the use of audible distractions for calming through dental work. So, I brought a meditation which was grounding and sounded like a cathedral of music (and will definitely use again!). Lori's personality is upbeat and engaging. Dr. McLean was efficient, competent, caring about comfort and letting me know what he was doing. It was my first experience with getting a CEREC (same day crown). Overall, it was an awesome experience to be calm and in good hands.

Dr. McLean is awesome! I went in for my first root canal with quite a bit of anxiety and I had nothing to worry about! Dr. McLean was always making sure I was feeling okay and was very thorough about explaining what he was doing and how everything was going, very reassuring to say the least! I will be going back for EVERY procedure going forward! Best dentist in Delano by far!

I have had my teeth taken care of at McLean Family Dental for several years now. Andrea, the dental hygienist I see, is delightful. She has a great memory and will ask me about things I have talked about on previous visits. She is always positive and cheerful. Dr. Vander-Heyden is thorough in her exams and instills trust. She has a calming demeanor that puts you at ease. I will not be going anywhere else for my dental care.

Andrea as always is the best hygienist I’ve worked with, very detailed, patient and caring. All around a great team at McLean Dental, thank you!

McLean family dental did a great job reacting to our new normal and had very safe practices and policies in place. I felt very comfortable from their lobby through my treatment and back out of the office. Great care was appreciated by myself and my family.

Dr. McLean was very thorough and made sure I had all the facts, my questions were answered and chose the best treatment for my situation. I will definitely be back for all my dental needs!

Andrea! She’s an awesome Hygienist that I have ever met. Very Caring about what’s she’s doing and friendly staff I’ve never had an issue coming here.

I returned for my second visit to McLean Family Dental for a 6 month cleaning. Andrea did an amazing job making the cleaning easy and efficient. Andrea along with Dr. Ellen Vander Heyden were able to cost effectivley prioritize treatment plans and future appointments. Great team at McLean. Highly recommend this Dental Clinic!

Ive been very happy with the dentist's at McLean Family Dental, also the dental tech. that does the cleaning. Very friendly people there.

I chipped a front tooth Thursday night before we we were leaving on a 3 week trip the following Monday. It wasn't a huge chip but a very sharp, jagged edge remained. I called to see if there was any chance I could get it smoothed down a bit so I wouldn't wear my tongue off 😊 They said they could squeeze me in if I didn't mind if I had to wait a bit. Five minutes in the lobby, maybe ten in the exam room before Dr. Ellen came in and five minutes later I walked out with a fixed tooth! Truly appreciated the accommodation and care I received!!!

Dr. McLean was extremely patient with my dental phobias. I saw my doctor and received something to relax me for my appointment. It all went great! I had a crown, a filling and bite guard impressions made all in the same appointment! I couldn’t be happier!

I have been going to Dr McLean office before he took the business over and the service continued to be outstanding. Andrea is an excellent hygienist who is thorough and shows great concern for her patients. The recent addition of Dr Ellen Vander Heyden is a continuation of the great service.

Friendly - Professional - Great Service

Whenever I go to the Dentist. I am always greeted and treated excellent by all the staff. We can laugh and talk about anything from the weather to how have you been since last time. It's great when they ask me about my "Elvis" shows and how that is going. It makes you feel at ease and welcome to know that they take the time to know about you. Even when they have a new staff or Dentist, they take the time to get to know you.

I was very pleased with my first visit to McLean Dental. The warm greeting I received when I arrived put me at ease. The dental hygienist was wonderful. She and I just seemed to connect. It was great to meet Dr. McLean. The exam he did was thorough. For anyone needing a new dentist or looking to change, I would highly recommend McLean Dental!

I had never been to McLean Family Dental before today. The first thing I noticed was the warm reception the front office people gave me. They wanted to know how I was doing today. Next, was my dental hygienist Andrea. She was great!!! I know they have to pick your gums and scrape your teeth, but she was very gentle and always asked how I was doing through out the process. Finally the dental exam by Dr. Ellen . I can now understand how they can see the smallest things wrong with your teeth and gums. The tools she used is like a microscope with a very bright led light. And once again, she like the rest of the team, ask me how I was doing. So, this is where I will be going to, not only for my dental work, but to feel good for the rest of the day because they all cared enough to ask how are you doing? Thank you for caring!!!
