Shoreline Dental Associates

First, I would like to say that the front desk staff and hygienists at shoreline are phenomenal. They are very patient, thoughtful and listen well. I’m writing this review because like many others, my family deferred care over the pandemic. We are also newer to Duluth, and relied on reviews from coworkers in picking Shoreline. Finally and importantly, my husband and I received poor dental care as children and have always struggled with anxiety over dental visits. We expressed this when setting up appointments for our family. My own care went well, however from the start I received what I believe to be shame from Dr. Morse for my son and daughter’s care. I’m well educated and understand how cavities form. He gave me a pamphlet after viewing my sons cavities that explained the very basics of dental hygiene. He told me that it was our adult choices that led to my son’s cavities, and that children don’t get sugar on their own. What’s more troubling, he agreed to try filling my son’s cavities even though he did not express confidence in pediatric care (which he is not, though he is a “family” dentist as listed on his website). He started the procedure, completed the drilling and clearing of the cavity, but when my son developed fear related to the compound used to fill the cavity since the tube looked like a needle, Dr. Morse lost patience. He told me his next patient was here, and did not complete the procedure. We left the office with a (clean) hole in my son’s tooth and a referral to a pediatric dentist. Both my son and I worse off emotionally for the whole experience. I would not recommend Dr. Morse for family dentistry. He would be great for adult preventative care. His team is wonderful.

Dr Morse is an excellent skilled dentist. His team is top notch. I was lucky to find him when I recently moved here. My root canal was as painless and comfortable as can be. I highly recommend Shoreline Dental.

Very professional, caring dental office.

I moved to the area and was recommended to Dr. Morse and Shoreline Dental. My experience has been fantastic - from receptionist and scheduling, cleaning and x-rays, and having a cavity taken care of. The technology is excellent in both identifying and communicating to the patient what the needs are. Most impressive is how gentle they are in every part of examining, cleaning, and repair - like, impressively gentle. They really try to make you as comfy as can be and anticipate your needs. A++

Older bigger lady who is the receptionist can be very rude. Couldn't belive how unhelpful and snarky she was, turned me off from using this dentist office!
