this dentist is awful. i would not recommend new patients because first. they dont even answer the phone. there very agressive towards my teeth. WILL NOT recommend

Very friendly and do an excellent job

When Dr. Z, José, and the wonderful hygienist (I can’t remember her name) were at Gentle Dentistry, I never worried about going to the dentist. They were all so nice, remembered my name and my story, and explained everything from a cleaning to a filling. I went today and was completely shocked to find out they had a FULL staff turnover, down to the receptionist. The hygienist was extremely forceful in scraping plaque off my teeth and stabbing my gums but explained the extensive bleeding I experienced on my “lack of flossing”. The dentist came in and after making a comment about how gas prices are increasing and we need more gas from North Dakota, he belittled me like a child for not “brushing and flossing enough”. I have never bled as much as I did today and I have never had as sore of a mouth as I do right now, even after a filling. I will NOT be going back.

Used to love this place til everyone, and I mean everyone left. Don't go here anymore.

I had a great experience here with a wonderful hygienist and Dr. M. The hygienist in particular explained things to me about the cleaning that I had never known and showed me exactly how to brush and floss my teeth to manage slight gum disease. They were both attentive listeners and kind. I intended to go to the Minneapolis location but they were booked out for a while but I will keep going to Edina based off of my great experience there.

Dr. Zaragoza is very thorough and compassionate.

The dentist is excellent and all the staff are helpful.

I have been to the Edina Gentle Dentistry location several times beginning directly prior to the coronavirus pandemic. I have been met with fast, easy and friendly support from making appointments to scheduling reminders. I have appreciated the care I have received and would recommend this practice to anyone looking for dental care.

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Z and his staff! I am traditionally very anxious about the Dentist in general, but from the beginning to the end, I had a positive experience. Josie (the manager) checked me in and was very fun, personable, and welcoming. The pleasant experience continued with Dr. Z & Cassie (the hygienist). Despite my anxiousness, they were very accommodating. They took the time to explain what needed to be done and gave professional advice. Dr. Z was not pressuring at all. Overall my experience with this office was a very pleasant and welcoming one. Thank you to Dr. Z and his team for making my dental experience less stressful! I will be back!

Great Experience with the staffs and service

I love this clinic and all the great peeps who work there!

My husband went to there to see Dr. Z and his staff and he didn’t stop talking about it all night! He said everyone was so friendly and that Dr. Z really cared about his clients. He said that he isn’t going to another dentist for the rest of his life!

There are many advantages and disadvantages of this business. First, they were one of very few dental businesses to not demand my children have x-rays done every single time they stepped in the door. Next, most of the employees are very kind. Additionally, the decor is lovely and clean. However, in over 20 years I've never had a cavity. Last summer, one of the dentists said I had a couple of SMALL cavities to fix. So, I booked an appointment to have them fixed. Only right before she started drilling she said this could become major if the tooth shattered. This should have been noted well in advance of the moment before drilling. In the drilling process, after the fact and from the assistant, I discovered the dentist did not put down a liner as she probably should have. Also, after the first dentist did the "small" cavities, the alignment of my bite/jaw was off as well as caused my teeth to have sharp cold and sweet sensitivities. Another Gentle Dentistry dentist fixed the alignment, thankfully, however, attempted to claim that the pain I was for the first time in my life experiencing was not due the shoddy work by the previous dentist (whose alignment mix up he just fixed) but rather due to my not flossing regularly (a pitiful attempt to deflect blame). After multiple extra x-rays this dental office referred me to a specialist who again x-rayed my teeth only to discover I now have to either have a root canal or just "live with" cold/sweet sensitivities triggered by the shoddy dentistry of the very first dentist. Gentle Dentistry has never reached out to me to offer assistance or apology. As such, I will be shopping for a new dentist for my family.

I had such a great experience Dr. Zaragoza! I usually am uneasy when going to the dentist but he made the experience great and exceeded my expectations.

Very pleased with my experience! The entire staff was very friendly and caring. Dr. Zaragoza did a great job with his work by walking me through the process. He also explained to me what he was doing and why he was doing it which I found very helpful. I will definitely be returning!

Friendly staff, easy scheduling, supportive dentists. Not pushy.

Extremely rude front desk staff. They canceled the appointment when it was convenient to them and then when I called to say I will be late few minutes late for my appointment due to emergency the front desk lady told me told me she could not accommodate me if I was late and was going to charge me for if cancel it. Totally unfair and not at all gentle as the name suggest. obviously I will not be going there again because of front desk staff including my family.
