If you don't want a big dental bill, then brush your teeth at least twice a day for two minutes each time and floss at least once a day. That is a whole lot cheaper. I have had more than my share of dental work; several root canals and crowns, many cracked teeth, gum surgery and more (most of which was before I went to Shamblott). Luckily, Dr. Shamblott and his team know what they are doing and have worked with me to help me keep my teeth and keep me comfortable while doing their work. Unfortunately, if you don't know a lot about the importance of your teeth and keeping them in good shape, you won't understand why Shamblott Family Dentistry has your interest and your future in mind. I appreciate what they have done for me and I will continue to go to them and invite others to do so as well. Thank you! Keep up the good work!

I had gum grafting today with Dr. Shamblott and it couldn’t have gone better. I was very nervous but he put me at ease by keeping me informed throughout the procedure. I also appreciated his attentiveness to ensure my comfort; the numbing was easier than expected and the procedure was painless. I’ll need additional grafting in other areas and wouldn’t have it done with anyone else.

Had decent work done here for about 4 years before having a horrible experience. tl;dr Didn't have insurance at the time and was quoted over $2,000 for a tooth to get pulled, received horrible customer service throughout the whole experience from the namesake of this clinic. A filling on my bicuspid from over a decade ago failed catastrophically and half of the tooth below the gumline fell off. I was initially told by 2 other doctors that the tooth could be saved for a root canal/crown. During that time period, I could really only afford for them to look at it and make sure nothing had gone horribly wrong. The third time I went in, Dr. Shamblott told me there was no way it could be saved and that it needed to be pulled. I was fine with pulling it, but the lack of respect or any care at all on display was extremely disappointing. You'd think the namesake of this business would be better than the other dentists, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Every other dentist that I saw here showed concern and compassion for me besides Dr. Shamblott, who sounded and acted like he couldn't give a care if I dropped dead 2 steps out of his door. I'll give an extra star for all those other dentists. Even though they were probably faking it, that's a lot better than what I experienced in my last visit here. In the end, I couldn't do the procedure at Shamblott as they quoted me $2,000 out-of-pocket since I was between jobs and didn't have insurance. Went to a small dentistry back home in South Minneapolis and they did it for less than half of that, all the while receiving exceptional customer service and a genuine human connection to boot. I'll be going back for an implant in a few months, but definitely not at Shamblott's as they've lost me as a customer. Take your money to a business owner that sees you as more than just an ATM.

Dr. Robert Hensen gave me an honest teatment plan outline. And the extraction he performed was was done vey well.

Horrible. I had 8/10 pain for more than one month after crown prep and post treatment. My gums were beefy red and I was on pain meds for more than a month. Seems like they didn’t cauterize it properly during crown prep. Billing was awful. Told me to pay a certain amount on crown prep $1400+. I did. Told me they didn’t bill properly during my Crown placement and will pay extra $250, I did. Now after almost 2months an additional $52. After that horrible experience I’m not recommending them. As a physician, I’m not in the habit of complaining but this is just bad service from the appointment, during and after procedure and the billing. Just go somewhere else.

The hygienist was skilled, the dentist efficient. I really like that you know the cost of your visit when you walk in.

We drive 90 minutes to go see Justin and Dr. Shamblott. Absolutely love it here.

Used to like this place. Now they've canceled my appointment for crown placement for a third time. IF this procedure ever gets done, it will be my last visit to Shamblott. Also, they seem very expensive.

Dr. Claudia and Justin are the best. Dr. Claudia has a very soft touch. Justin does an amazing job making my teeth look and feel the amazing.

This was a long procedure, but I think it went better by allowing healing time. Dr. Shamblott and all his staff were excellent, professional and understanding. I'm happy with my new dentures, and I feel good about the whole process. I will recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Carter was able to accommodate me for Wisdom Teeth removal 2 days after having an annual Dentist Appt. He also was more then willing to do the work without sedation per my request, with the warning it would noisy and a lot of needles involved. Which I did not mind. An hour prior to my appointment, I was given a call that they could see my early if I was interested and able to come in. Upon arriving his 2 assistants during my procedure kept conversation with me, allowed me to wear my headphones and reminded by to breathe when they noticed I was holding my breathe. Dr. Carter however was nothing more then amazing, he took the time and explained every single thing he was doing and what I would have to explain in the future to a new Dentist. He had a great sense of humor and was very accommodating, thorough and quick. I would 10 out 10 recommend him if you have a fear or hesitation of dental work or procedures. And the 2 lovely ladies helping him were equally as funny!

My hygienist, Justin is the best! He really takes his time and puts you at ease since I have anxiety with being at the dentist. Dr. Claudia is so nice and kind. She doesn't shame her patients for lacking in oral care. She spends the time talking with you about how to make the changes needed. Definitely recommend!

My experiences with Shamblott Dentistry have always been great. Today was exceptional. From the greeting by the receptionist, to the pain free, attentive, warm demeanor of the hygienist, to my exit & yet another kind greeting by a different receptionist. It's taken me 30+ years to find a dentistry that has listened to my concerns about prior painful cleaning experiences (which made me avoid regular visits into adulthood). They've since been able to correct fairly significant periodontal problems, and also erase my fears of even coming to the dentist. I've seen several hygienists there, and they've all been great. I also appreciate their use of new/upgraded cleaning instruments, which not only seems to expedite the process, but also removes any discomfort previously felt years ago when the old pick instruments were soley being used. The expanded hours & availability on weekends is also a huge plus.

My last cleaning was not painful. This might not be a issue for most but my gums are super sensitive. They care and remember and do all they can to make sure you're comfortable. I appreciate it, I do. THANK YOU!

I was super nervous and scared just thinking about going to a dental office. But after family and friends shared their great experiences for people who are nervous or scared of dental offices. I decided to give Shamblott a try. The front office is awesome! They took care of all the insurance stuff. And my man Justin, go see him! He was able to calm me down by simplifying my treatment plan, and kindly answered any questions I had.

These guys are always great! High Tech equipment and skills, but still HUMAN, and caring.

As someone with very high anxiety and fear of going to the dentist , I could not ask for anything better! After neglecting my oral care for a bit I felt so embarrassed , but Dr Claudia and her wonderful hygienist quickly made me feel very comfortable and did not judge me in anyway. I came back to have 3 cavity’s filled. Once I was on the laughing gas i went from a nervous wreck, to actually enjoy my appointment! Every employee has been great including the receptionist! I highly recommend Shamblott Family Dentisrty to anyone!!

I was desperate to get a deep cleaning after waiting almost three years. Between covid, a very long waiting list and the fact that no one seems to take mn dental insurance I was at risk of effecting my overall health from infection. Shamblott dentistry not only got me in for the cleaning, they treated me kindly. The staff at the St paul and Hopkins location were great. I highly recommend them.

Whether it’s just a routine cleaning or something more intense, the staff at Shamblott always have treated me right, making sure I am informed and comfortable. Multiple fillings, a couple crowns, and a root canal later, I would HIGHLY recommend Shamblott to anyone looking for quality, reliable dental professionals.
